CEL on, AT OIL TEMP flashing, rough shifting22 Feb 2007 01:06 GMT1
Twice in the last two weeks of daily driving here at 5-25 deg F, my
1999 OB showed the above symptoms. Next morning, normal behavior!
The first time, the shifting problem came on gradually -- after 5
minutes or so of driving.  I thought for a minute or so that I was
Clutch replacement on 99 Legacy.21 Feb 2007 19:46 GMT16
Hi,  My clutch has just started slipping...  Just in time for the camping
season typical.  I've a couple of questions.  i) Is it possible for a man
with mediocre mechanical skills 4 axle stands and a reasonable tool kit to
undertake the replacement on the drive? If so will I need ...

Hi. I have a '96 Subaru Impreza with 220,000 some miles on it. I keep
up on it's regular matience and it doesn't seem to run any different

New Impreza21 Feb 2007 15:39 GMT7
Take a look at the new next-generation Impreza
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/205057/subaru_impreza.html
I had some suspicions in the past, regarding the older bug-eyed Impreza, but

We replaced the battery in the remote for my son's car ('99 Legacy L

owner's manual for both post-battery replacement 'synchronization' and
new transmitter programming, to no avail. The pictures in the manual
2003 Forester - How do I remove the PS cap?21 Feb 2007 00:25 GMT4
Pardon a dumb question but I tried to top off the power steering fluid
in my 2003 Forester tonight and for the life of me I could not get the
yellow cap off the reservoir!. It just seems to turn forever in both
clockwise or counter-clockwise directions and after scraping the skin
EA81 pushrod installation20 Feb 2007 21:26 GMT1

but I put the pushrods next to eachother, with knurled ends
Help: dead clock?20 Feb 2007 20:27 GMT13
The clock in my Forester 2001 went dead two days ago. It became dark
and doesn't show anything.
This is weird as I never heard any car having a failed clock ~~~~~
My guess is that maybe there is a fuse for this clock and it melted?
4 cyl 6 cyl longevity20 Feb 2007 20:11 GMT21
Never owned a Subaru.
In terms of reliability, is the 4 cyl better in the long run than the 6 cyl,
vice versa, or neither?
I once asked the same question of Toyota owners and was surprised to hear so

Any cost guesses for having the dealer replace the steering column, cruise
switch.  Does the wheel have to be pulled from the column?

Looking for opinions19 Feb 2007 17:07 GMT1
Good Morning:
