Bought my wagon Memorial Day weekend of 2006, have almost 10,000 miles
on it.
Was clocking 30MPG (mostly highway driving to work, 30 miles each way)
till my dealer did the first oil change on it.

Fed up with the bob and weave action from the suspension
I've finally got to install STI takeoff springs on my OB Sport.
I compressed the old pliable junk and took it off. However
when I installed the spring off STI (it's about 1.5" shorter

The CEL light came on about half way to work this morning, and remained on
the rest of the day.  I dug out the reader and got a code of:
PO 442  01
The PO 442 shows in the manual as 'evaporative system leak, small'.  No info

Other than Genuine Subaru coolant... can I just use plain old green
stuff?  Or is it like everybody else and require it's own special brand
of coolant?  <sigh>  I can hardly wait until I need to use brand
specific oil..

Seeking help!  I just replaced the battery on my keyless remote for a
2002 Outback.  I've followed the programming instructions several
times and gotten the thing working on and off.  It will work for a few
lock/unlock sequences, and then if I leave it alone for a few minutes

My wife's '07 Outback wagon rolled in the garage smoking and smelling
tonight.  I popped the hood and finally found the front transfer case
dipstick hanging loose in the hole, and oil running down the right side of
the engine and transmission and dripping on the catalytic ...

Hi everyone!  I am getting poor mileage with my Subaru and am becoming
very frustrated.  Any suggestions are welcome.  I just read an old
forum discussing gas mileage in 2002 Subaru WRX's, and most were
getting 20-30 mpg.  I am getting about 15!  I drive almost entirely in

I have a 1996 Subaru Legacy AWD with a standard transmission.
Recently the clutch burned out and I had it replaced.  The problem now
is that when you start the car it feels like the emergency brake is
on, but it is not.  You can force it to get it going but is feels like

I recently had the left side head gasket replaced now the right side has
developed the same problem.
As soon as I can raise the funds I will have the other gasket replaced...but

I's been a wee bit cold here the past couple days (singkle digits, -20
windchill). I was sitting in my 2001 Outback yesterday evening letting
it warm up. I turned on the defrosters, windshield wiper defroster
included. After a few minutes, i actually watched the windshield crack
