| head gasket question | 30 Mar 2007 04:05 GMT | 1 |
I have a 2000 GT Wagon. The previous owner replaced the head gasket in 2005. I guess only the left head gasket was replaced. Since one side failed, should I be worried about the other side? Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Should I worry about the side that was fixed

| What is the toughest Subaru of all time? | 30 Mar 2007 03:05 GMT | 2 |
Young and old taken into account. All weather from -50 F in alaska to 120 across a thousand mile desert. to water deeper than it shoudn't be. to mud that acts like boots stuck in a mud puddle leaving you there in your socks when you break free....Ice rain snow

| Thanks, AAS for 3 more miles to the gallon! | 30 Mar 2007 03:03 GMT | 2 |
Yup, the old "poor gas mileage around town" complaint. I was getting 14-16 MPG. The dealer did the 'no codes' dance. After reading about the engine temp sensor possibility here, I had a more convenient shop change it out "to humor me".

| Diminished Value? | 29 Mar 2007 20:37 GMT | 1 |
I didn't know you could collect for the reduced market value of your car after an accident repair, but the articles at www.claimsreporter.com say you can. I know most people will not buy a car with a bad Carfax unless it's offered at a big discount. Anyone else know about this ...

| New wheels for my 2001 Forester | 28 Mar 2007 23:22 GMT | 3 |
I am looking to put some new wheels on my 2001 forester. How can I tell what size I can fit on there, and what size tires go with that? Do I have to drive into a tire shop to get this info? I can't seem to find it online anywhere. Subaru website is a joke for cars that are not ...

| Another Idiot Subaru Problem | 28 Mar 2007 21:08 GMT | 11 |
It's been in the 20's for quite a while in the NE. On Sunday mornings, I go out to get the Sunday newspaper. When it's that cold, I drive; normally I walk the three blocks. So, after I buy the paper and get back into the Subbie ('03 Outback 3.0 engine) to drive home, it won't ...
