Check Engine Code=Knock Sensor, Could it be a false indication22 Mar 2007 18:18 GMT4
I'm not a DIY'er, but I want to not throw money away at possible wrong

My 1.8L Subaru Impreza 1995 (manual, front wheel drive) recently

04 Forester Seat Heater21 Mar 2007 23:46 GMT1
Hello.  My seat heater apparantly doesn't turn off anymore.  It is
retaining heat and I haven't used it in quite a while.  I've tried
turning it on and off to try and trip the circuit and get it to cool
down, but no success.  I never use it often, a few times a year, it is
FWIW: I discovered DC outlet in Outback 200221 Mar 2007 07:44 GMT3
I discovered second 12V outlet in my Outback. It is in the jack

when you take off the cover.
'95 Legacy cigarette lighter wires21 Mar 2007 05:54 GMT2
An earlier discussion focused on the light, or lack thereof, on the
cigarette lighter. I have a more basic question.
I got this vehicle a year ago and the socket, or power port, didn't
work. I could feel around behind it and fee that the wires were

Is there a dashboard light dimmer on a 99 legacy? or has the fuse
blown, I have been looking for the fuses but can only find a small box
behind the driver front panel, none of these seem to be what I’m
looking for.Is there another box somewhere apart from the big fuses

97 Outback igintiton problem20 Mar 2007 08:31 GMT3
Hi, intermittently, when I put my key in the ignition, it won’t turn
to start the car. If I take the key out, and re insert, after fiddling
with it a bit, the car starts. Is there anything I can spray in the
ignition, or around it to free it up, or what else can be done. It has

2001 Forester remote programming19 Mar 2007 21:48 GMT2
I recently bought a 2001 Forester. The owners manual that came in the glove
box is for a 2000 Forester and it shows different remotes (they look like
Code Alarm remotes)than the ones I have (look like Alpine remotes) for the
car. The remotes I have for the Forester look just like ...
Forester issues with vehicle speed control / surging / high idling19 Mar 2007 15:02 GMT2
I am contemplating buying a 2007 ForesterXT sports auto. I test drove
the vehicle and like it. But I have read some disturbing things about
a surging problem, at least in 2006 Foresters. According to the
complaints I've seen, this sometimes seems to occur when the Forester

My '97 legacy wagon has been running OK for years but recently I've
noticed whenever I turn the ignition it just clicks and nothing happens.
I do it again and it starts. This has been happening more often and I
fear that something is about to go wrong and I won't be able to start ...
Question regarding temporary use spare tire18 Mar 2007 16:43 GMT1
I had to fix my third flat in about 18 months today, and that got me
thinking: How many times/miles are the temporary use spare tiress in
Subarus good for (I'm driving a '99 OBW)?  I'm sure I put more than the 50
miles I've heard they are rated for on it over those last three trips ...
