serviced closed and the other dealer in town took over as the
exclusive Subaru dealership in town. (Las Vegas, NV;  Findlay Subaru

We are in the market to buy a used outback and went to look and drive
one.. We really like the car but I noticed a burnt clutch/oil smell
from under the hood after driving it. The thing is, its at automatic,
and it was not directly coming from the brakes. It smells just like

I want to hear from people on this message board about whether or not
they think the coolant conditioner works. I have read alot lately
about head gasket problems and I ABSOLUTELY cannot afford to have that
repaired if it goes bad. Even if it does, I am seriously thinking

ok...did something really dumb.  I towed my 2002 Tracker 4X4 AT with the
tranfer case in 4wH.  Now it will not move in drive but will work in low and
reverse.  What have I done?    Tranfer case or transmission or both?  The
transmision was in Nuetral.

The more I see, the more I like.  I still don't understand why so many
other Americans don't like hatchbacks.  The 5 door is probably the best
looking Subaru ever (IMHO), not that that's saying much.

Serviced regularly but in the last 2K miles starting has become more
difficult.
Local garage phoned Subaru main agent who suggested may be leak in
exhaust or inlet manifold.

The dealer tells me that the spots on the interior cloth type roof are
indeed rust and that because they do not have a body shop I have to look
elsewhere to find the exterior leak - the pits!

I know using an FM transmitter is a bad idea, both because the antenna's in the
rear and because the FCC has made them reduce the transmitting power.  Since the
