CEL anomally19 Jun 2007 03:40 GMT1
Hi Group,
I have a 1995 Legacy GT which keeps giving strange symptoms:
After disconnecting the battery overnight to clear any engine management
errors then I connect the two wires to retrieve codes the CEL flashes
2008 base Impreza -- retired?19 Jun 2007 03:24 GMT4
I can't find anything on Subaru's site about 2008 Imprezas that aren't in
the WRX series, except for the Subaru Sport.  Are they retiring that part of
the line?  I'd like to get something with PZEV, and the 2007 Imprezas don't
have it, so I'm trying to figure out whether it's ...
RS2.5 that 'Smokes on Start-Up'19 Jun 2007 02:21 GMT2
May look at an otherwise very clean '99 Impreza RS2.5. I understand
all of the issues with the head gaskets. The ad states that the car
smokes upon start-up but then stops, and that it may need valve seals.
Is this a reasonable cause for smoking? No indication of the color of
Watch out for CARMAX18 Jun 2007 22:15 GMT4
The following is from a complaint I just register with the BBB. If you've
had similar problems please contact me...
I purchased a Jaguar XKR from CARMAX's Davie Store on 5/19/07. At which time
I noticed several problems with the car that needed to be fixed. I reported

looking Subaru's direction.  Esp interested in the wagon, but I have
some questions:
2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca: Ugly or Not?18 Jun 2007 18:26 GMT2
Okay, Subaru fans…listen up! Do you think that the all new B9 Tribeca is a beautiful vehicle or is it an ugly duckling? As for me, I have mixed feelings. This particular SUV certainly doesn’t look like any other Subaru, nor does it easily get confused with any other SUV on the ...
Wheel Alignment18 Jun 2007 03:19 GMT1
I have a 03 forester. I was wondering if the alignment can be done @ any
place that does them or should it be taken to a Subie dealer. My Subie
dealer is quite far away but there's plenty of name shops around exp
Firestone, NTB some mom and pop places.
Forester moonroof18 Jun 2007 02:01 GMT12
I am on the market for a 2005 Subaru Foreter Special Edition with the large
moonroof and I would like to know if there is a risk of leaking problems
with a big moonroof.
Any owners with bad experiences ???
Speed to achieve optimum mileage - What is too slow?17 Jun 2007 20:13 GMT7
I've got a 97 Legacy Wagon with the 2.2L engine.  It'll get 30-31 mpg
at 66-68 mph vs. 26-27 at 74 mph. Needless to say I have been driving
the 66-68 since realizing this.
I have a friend who just came to visit and drove 60 all the way.  Says
303 Protectant17 Jun 2007 04:14 GMT1
I thank whoever recommended this (Carl? and others?).
It's fantastic on rubber and plastic.  I'm surprised I haven't heard
of it, as I subscribe to a bunch of aviation publications.
Need Help With Forester Bumper Damage17 Jun 2007 00:42 GMT2
I have a 2006 Forester and managed to back into a pole in a parking lot
the other day.  I crimped the left side of the bumper cover.  There is
no support in the corners so it just crumpled in.  I need to get a
replacement bumper cover and wondering if anyone has any good ...
Brakes15 Jun 2007 01:43 GMT8
I'm looking to replace the brakes soon on my 03 forester xs. I need to
either replace or turn down the rotors . I was thinking of replacing them
(the rotors) and was wondering if the basic OEM type from Auto Zone will
work fine?  Also I heard that turning down rotors could make ...
Service job - was this fair pricing?14 Jun 2007 23:51 GMT13
I just took my Subaru Impreza 1993 FWD from independent mechanic.
It has 98,000 miles on it. This was my first time in that shop
and I wonder how I did with regard to trying to keep the cost
down.
Door handle14 Jun 2007 22:25 GMT1
I have a 1999 Subaru Forester and it's driver side exterior door
handle is coming off. It looks like there was some kind of clip in
there, but I don't know what kind. If anyone knows what I can do to
fix it that would be great.
2003 Impreza shift lockout14 Jun 2007 14:27 GMT4
The Subaru has a safety device that prevents the car from being put into
gear from Park, unless the brake pedal is depressed. Is it possible
for a mechanic to inadvertently bump something or loosen something that
would break the solenoid that controls that feature?
