Um, what's the difference...14 Jun 2007 10:41 GMT4
between a "3 door Coupe" and a Hatchback?
I'm trying to get parts for this thing, and I have them asking if it's a
3-door coupe or a hatchback, and it DOES make a fifferrence...like a $50
difference on struts!!!
Need Good Online Subaru Parts13 Jun 2007 14:40 GMT2
I backed my 06 Forester into a post and put a dent in the rear bumper
cover.  I think it needs to be replaced.  The tailight assembly has a
crack in one of the mounts.  I called one place and to ship a bumper
cover to LA was $$$.  I am trying to find someone in LA that can spray

I notice if i drive untill my low level light comes on i get a CEL. After i
fill back up it will go out after about 100 miles. I havent gone to have the

Large repair on recently-purchased 99 Outback Sport12 Jun 2007 21:38 GMT22
Just bought my first Subaru, after wanting one for a long time.
I found what I thought was a really great entry-level car:  1999
Outback Sport, 144K miles, no rust, perfect interior, everything
operational (air, cruise, etc...), seemed to run great, and be
1992 subaru legacy L ignition trouble.12 Jun 2007 16:37 GMT3
I started having trouble starting my car. I put the key in the
ignition and the electronics some on, but the car will not start. This
has been happening more frequently and I'm wondering what the problem
could be. Some one had suggested that since I use a copy key (not the
Brake Rotors12 Jun 2007 13:28 GMT2
I need to put a set of vented or slotted rotors and my Baja. Any

Wiring diagram for Clarion C11612 Jun 2007 11:09 GMT1
We have a 1998 Imp OB with a Clarion C116 and need the wiring harness
diagram.  Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks.
87 spfi flooding, error 14 (abnormal injector output)11 Jun 2007 19:48 GMT2
I can drive forever if I keep RPM's below 4000
if I go above 4000, it will stall in a few minutes.
I figured out it is flooding.  Restarting with gas pedal
floored (max air flow) starts in about 8 seconds of cranking.
High Idle with Check Engine Light11 Jun 2007 15:52 GMT1
1996 Outback Wagon with 2.2L engine.  Car has recently suffered from
an occasional high idle, above 1000 rpm and higher when the A/C
compressor kicks on.  Today it was idling normally and then started
idling high and the check engine light came on.
Have a question...what the heck did I just buy? ('89 Subaru ????)11 Jun 2007 10:57 GMT25
I have no idea what it is...it is all wheel drive, I don't think it's a
turbo (I fix my own cars, and I didn't *SEE* a turbo!)
It's a 2-door hatch, usual late 80's front end, hatch glass is a little
'rounded'. No badging on it so I don't know what it is!! It's not a Justy,
91 subaru legacy L auto transmission problem11 Jun 2007 04:39 GMT10
I checked in this site a year or so ago, and got some great advice on
changing my timing belt which went successfully well.  Now, am having
an occuring problem with the trans. I have been searching the archived
threads, and learning a bit, but want to ask a bit more.
05 Forester: Haynes vs. Chilton10 Jun 2007 16:01 GMT2
I had a Haynes manual for my last vehicle and it came in handy for the
occasional simple task.  On Amazon.com both Haynes and Chilton manuals
are available and Chilton has a higher rating (based in only a couple
of reviews).  Chilton is a couple of bucks more expensive.
viscous coupling replacement10 Jun 2007 06:47 GMT2
Well, I got my viscous coupling (center differential) replaced today
and it seems to have taken care of the clunk when turning sharply.  I
did a quick highway drive with no effects.  Hopefully that's the last
I hear of that.
2001 Forester, oil leak.10 Jun 2007 02:15 GMT19
We have a 2001 Forester with about 70k miles which had an oil change one
week ago at the neighborhood EZ Lube. Yesterday, with only 40 miles since
the oil was changed, I noticed after turning off the engine that steam
appeared to be coming from the engine. I opened the hood and ...
OK, now that we've defined what it is, what do I need to know?!09 Jun 2007 01:52 GMT2
It has an AT, with a button that says AWD. Can the AWD be
engaged/disengaged while moving?
I had a Tercel AWD Wagon with a mechanical linkage, and you could just
slide the lever when you wanted (sometimes...it was a BIOTCH getting out
