With the gas prices now, I've thought about a little Soob Justy. I
stumbled onto a '91 2dr with an excellent body, 4wd, and the
aforementioned ECVT.
I have done some googing and it appears the good and bad are about even

95 Legacy Wagon with 140K miles.
Recently, from a stop, when I depress the accelerator, occasionally there is
a thumping noise...one or two thumps, and then it ceases. Sounds like it
is coming from the rear axle, but, not sure.

My '96 OB seems to shift out of gear when making tight corners or
crawling up a steep incline at only a few MPH. (e.g. turning right or
left from a complete or near complete stop or driving up a steep
driveway at 3 or 4 MPH). The transmission feels like it's kicking into
