Pshh Noice in AC of my outback23 Sep 2007 23:32 GMT1
I keep hearin perdiodic a few seconds long hissing (?) "pshhhhh" noise
out of my AC.It is very pronounced right after car starts but
continues all the way to freeway speed.  Turning ac off (with fan
running) or fan off gets rid of the noise. I am not sure if it is

Two days ago someone broke into my car and stole
my radio/cd player. In the process the thief dismantled the glove
compartment, broke some of the plastic trim and dug some if the foam out of
the dash pad.

Do the Subes have a locking steering wheel? I have gotten it to lock
2X, but that's all. Maybe the spots are fewer, or it locks differently
than when my Chevy does.

Help.  99 forester with 222k miles, mild lurching on acceleration and
decelaration in all gears. rear brake drums recently replaced. could they be
warped ? also, car was sitting for 3 months. guy at adv auto suggests
viscous coupler problem. could it be a rear axle ?

Hi I had to unbolt the window from the regulator to put in a new door
lock set. When I rebolted the window to the regulator, the window
catches on the black plastic piece connected to the rear view mirror,
right before the glass reaches it maximum height. So far Ive tried

noticed there are small cracks in the rubber around the top of the
rubber at the top of the side windows, on an 07' Imp, like it is old.
It is soft and pliable, and looks like different pieces joined
together with the top piece with the corner curve, different from the

The window at the driver's position will go down, but not up.  The
switch feels normal, but the glass won't go.
My friendly Subaru dealer wants to replace the window motor and the
"controller."  Cost: about $500.

So I've found that all of the folks flashing their high-beams at me as
I drive to work were NOT telling me of an upcoming speed-trap -
rather, my driver's side low-beam isn't working!  I replaced the bulb,

My Outback has about 116K miles on it and in the last couple of weeks,
I've been having trouble starting my car. When the get the key to the
"Start" position, I can hear the relay clicking, but the motor does

Can leaving the engine for the cold night without filling up with new
oil after the previous was drained from the warmed up bike or car be
harmful in any way?
Then next morning you fill it up cold with cold oil of course before

I just changed the front brake pads on my '97 Legacy Outback 2.5L with
146,000+ miles. I bought the car a year and a half ago and the brakes
have been squealing for about a year. I heard metal on metal grinding
