Does anyone have a web reference or info on how to replace the clock in an
overhead console in 2002 Forester?
Outback RPM at 70mph10 Sep 2007 03:02 GMT7
Dear Fellow Subaru Enthusiest
Hi,
Recently I purchased a 2004 Subaru outback and it seems the crusing
RPM is high in comparison to other cars I have owned.
Waxing cars10 Sep 2007 00:43 GMT6
would it benefit or be extra work to wax a car twice? I waxed my car
the other day with Dupont Teflon liquid wax. A few hrs later a guy I
know paste waxed his car, and then pulled out the Dupont stuff and
applied it, and wiped it right off before drying, and said That was
2007 impreza stereo...09 Sep 2007 12:42 GMT25
My 07 impreza outback sport has the 240 watt 6 disc stereo.,  I think the
stereo sucks.  I burned an mp3 disx and a WMA disc and even threw in a
regular cd.  The sound quality is poor.  Is there a better setting I can use
to burn the discs?
Sube timing belt tensioners are crap?09 Sep 2007 05:49 GMT2
Apparently the timing belt tensioners from subaru are 100% hydraulic,
and are quite prone to issues, not coming up to tension quickly
enough, and generally being unreliable.  I know mine is about to have
the 6th Subaru timing belt tensioner put in in its 110k mile lifetime
head gusket problem09 Sep 2007 03:03 GMT2
I took my car (2001 Forester) to dealer for 75K service today...they told me
the car engine has problems with head guskets: ~$2,6K repair. Luckily, I
have extended warranty (which will expire in less than 2 months), so I'll
only need to pay $100 deductible.
Subaru VDC08 Sep 2007 18:54 GMT13
I have noticed that Subaru and several other AWD manufactures offer
stability control that seems to work only with leather seats (they don't put
it in cars without leather seats).
I am not an engineer and don't understand the details of implementing
Slow Speed Surging08 Sep 2007 15:20 GMT48
I call it Chugging, but at low speeds the car isn't smooth. I read
that the variable valve timing could be the cause, or the drive by
wire throttle. Seems like being in a lower gear which would get the
revs up might help, but haven't tried it yet. I've seen the revs go up
95 Legacy noises07 Sep 2007 17:08 GMT9
Hi I have a 95 Subaru Legacy, Automatic, 1.8L engine. When I drive the
car there is a clicking noise that sounds like its coming from the
center of the dash or below the drive selector console. The noise is
not present while the car is at idle, just when I begin to drive. As
has anyone heard of these tires?07 Sep 2007 11:23 GMT8
i am looking for new tires for my 2005 Forester ... i never go off-road and
never drive in snow ... i don't care about performance ... just want long
tread life ... drive mainly on city streets and little highway ...

One of the survace guys overtightened it and damaged the thread and now I

2.2L engine question06 Sep 2007 19:10 GMT3
I have a 96 Legacy with a 2.2L engine.  It is getting old.  I found a
98 2.2L engine and wanted to know how difficult it would be to install
in my car.  I'm told it's not easy but then again, it's a Subaru
engine and should go in without having to change much, no?  Please let
Chiping...06 Sep 2007 14:25 GMT3
I was wondering if anyone here has
tried any of the reasonable priced
chips  ('03 Forester) and if so, are
they worth trying?
