Hard Starting Cold & Lean Stumble 99 OB20 Nov 2007 18:55 GMT1
For those searching on this problem as I did...
Cold starting was hard; didn't even have to
be that cold.  Backfiring and poor drivability
until warm, then OK.
ABS wheel speed sensor for 1991 Legacy20 Nov 2007 15:05 GMT1
Does anyone know where I can purchase a ABS wheel speed sensor other
than from the Subaru dealership. They want $290.00 for it here in
Edmonton. I tried my usual auto parts stores, but they say they can
not get it. Also tried many online sellers with no luck. Next stop
Would you trade?19 Nov 2007 17:45 GMT8
I'm reasonably happy with my 1996 Lagacy Outback 5-speed.  But I have a
chance to pick up a 1998 Legacy Outback Limited edition.  They look
almost exactly the same, but for the little hoodscoop looking thing on
the hood of the Limited.  It's an automatic.
Lug nut stuck(seized)?19 Nov 2007 14:23 GMT6
Time to switch in winer tiress rims, first time I ran into a lug nut
which won't budge no matter how hard I try. Last time when I
put on  summer tire rims, I did not over torqued or anything.
What gives? Any thrcik to make it loose? Car is 2000 Impreza RS
WRX suspension question19 Nov 2007 12:46 GMT2
Maybe a dumb question. But why do some cars tend to squat, or have the top
of the tire inward and the bottom outward  if your looking at the rear of a
car? I know my WRX is like that and have noticed it on other WRX's. I see it
on Saabs, noticed it on a Lexus SUV yesterday and ...
'99 Legacy Outback power steering hesitation19 Nov 2007 09:09 GMT7
A month ago I had 4 new tires put on and a computer analyzed 4
wheel alignment done. A week or so later, I had 4 new rotors &
pads put on at Meineke.
Trouble is that since that was all done, the power steering has

Locks on 2004 Legacy Outback18 Nov 2007 13:16 GMT7
My wife had just parked her car in a mall parking lot. As she was beginning
to walk to the stores, another, newer Subaru pull up.  Apparently when the
driver of that Subaru, pushed the lock switch button on the key fob, my

Light out for a/c and blower controls?17 Nov 2007 22:35 GMT10
Regarding my 1997 Legacy GT station wagon: While driving one evening I
noticed that it was dark around the a/c and heater controls. The only
illumination is from the little rectangular l.e.d.'s that indicate which
vent you have chosen to enable. Is there supposed to be some sort of

buying a 97 legacy sedan15 Nov 2007 17:15 GMT6
Ok Subabru junkies, I'm considering buying a 97 Legacy sedan (L) wih 136k
miles from the original owner that has the service history.  Anything
problems common for this car that I should look for at this age/mileage?
Thanks,
weak struts & tire wear14 Nov 2007 02:20 GMT4
Anybody have any experience with tire wear caused by weak struts?
I just had my rear struts replaced on my 2003 OBS.  They also swapped
my winter/summer wheels/tires at the same time.  I noticed that both
my rear summer tires have more wear on the inside edges.  Could the

tribeca vs outback12 Nov 2007 12:32 GMT19
I'm going to buy a 2008 Tribeca insted of the Outback Sedan my wife wants me
to get, she has a 2002 H6 with VDC and has 60,002 miles on it with no
problems at all, she thinks that I'm a fool to get a SUV instead of what she
claims is the best Soobie ever...any thoughts out ...
ceramic pads/powder coated rotors = good?10 Nov 2007 20:02 GMT1
Rick Courtright posted back in 2003 asking about people's results with
ceramic pads on Subarus, but no one really replied.
I need to replace the rotors on the front of the 99 OBW and am
thinking of getting the powder-coated rotors in the hope of resisting
