| backlight on Radio stays on | 31 Mar 2008 22:35 GMT | 1 |
I have a 2002 OBS with 115K. Recently, the original radio backlight stays on even when I take the ignition key out. I have had XM satellite radio direct wired to the radio since 10K miles so that should not be the problem. It appears that the battery draw is insignificant as many ...

I'm calling on your expertise to help me diagnose and fix my 95 Legacy Wagon. My brother is a mecanic without a garage, and not a Subaru expert, but if he can be pointed in the right direction,

| Strut life expectancy, on-road only | 31 Mar 2008 14:36 GMT | 7 |
'99 Outback Wagon, never used off-road, 101K miles, don't know if struts had been replaced before we bought it at 55K. Ride seems fine, no bouncy-bouncy, but....? First ever car with struts instead of shocks, so no prior experience.

| Tire pressure and mileage | 31 Mar 2008 00:57 GMT | 23 |
I noticed my '97 Outback was getting pretty lousy mileage (16 mpg), and called my mechanic. He said to call him back at the end of the week and setup an appointment. Meanwhile, I decided to check the tire pressures, which were about 3 to 5 lbs down. I pumped them up to 30 all ...

| 1999 Forester lights blinking | 30 Mar 2008 16:30 GMT | 5 |
I went off and left the ignition of the Forester on, and when I returned the battery was dead (it's the original battery in a car that was new in the fall of 1998). I put the battery on the trickle charger overnight and immediately the parking lights (the amber ones in front and ...

| Tire circumference differential | 29 Mar 2008 16:54 GMT | 3 |
Question. I have a flat. Spare has 17,000km on it, the 4 tires on the car have nearly 48,000km on them. Will it be safe to use my spare as an outright replacement or just as a temporary till I have the flat repaired?

I have an '84 GL Wagon 4WD. The blower (defroster, etc) stopped working entirely and am getting no power to blower. Fuses in fuse box check out. Service manual says there are two fuses for that blower not in the fuse box but it doesn't say where they're located and I

I have an 04 Forrester auto with 77000 km showing, bought used at 52k. At 72k, the dreaded piston slap began and rapidly increased to the point where it no longer goes away. The new lower half (short block) will be installed on Monday - under warranty. I'm getting the dealer ...

| Goodbye to Subies | 24 Mar 2008 22:13 GMT | 14 |
Well, an hour ago I took the plates off my 2002 Subaru Legacy wagon (160,000 km), and traded it in for a new Mazda 3. I have owned two Subarus. (a Loyale and a Legacy.) I was so excited when I bought the Legacy - here was the first car I ever

| 02' Forester Auto Tranny overfilled | 24 Mar 2008 14:46 GMT | 2 |
I recently had my car serviced at the dealer. One of the things they did was flush out the transmission fluid. This was two weeks and around 300 miles ago. Today I was doing the routine fluids check on my cars. When I checked the Forester's tranny fluid, it was overfilled. I ...
