Dunno if we;v done this here before. Many of us have owned, traded or worked on quite a few cars. I once saw a mushroom growing in the rear floorboard of my sister's car. I THINK one of her friends had tromped on some food or spilled a

My '03 6 cyl. 3.0L Outback has only 30K miles on it. Should I be replacing the timing chain? I don't expect to reach 60K miles for at least another 5 years. What's the rule for low mileage Subies?

| transmission fluid check | 09 Apr 2008 22:22 GMT | 6 |
I'm getting hard shifting into 1st gear when the car is cold. I want to check the transmission fluid level, but I can't find any dipstick. I have a 2003 Impreza Outback. The manual suggests it is near the air filter housing, but I can't see anything. I do see two filler caps

| stuck drums | 09 Apr 2008 05:59 GMT | 7 |
Any tips on removing stuck rear drums? I have a 2003 Impreza Outback and I want to replace the drums. I thought the axle nut had to be removed to get the drums off, but they wouldn't come off. Turns out, there is a separate wheel flange, and the drums are probably stuck to

| Bland, Boring Colors | 08 Apr 2008 19:11 GMT | 2 |
I noticed that most new cars just come in a small selection of very bland, dull, colors. Do most people like this or are there a lot of people like me who are not satisfied with those colors? The only current Subaru color I might find acceptable is bronze, and I'm not

| brake fluid | 08 Apr 2008 04:34 GMT | 8 |
Is it hard to replace the brake fluid? Can I drain the system from a bleeder valve at one of the four corners, and simply refill it under the hood? I'm replacing the drums and rotors anyway, and I figure the fluid is due for replacement.

| Weird Blinker | 07 Apr 2008 20:50 GMT | 3 |
I have a 2008 Impreza. The left turn signal blinks at a normal rate. The right turn signal blinks at a very fast rate. All the lights work. In past cars, if a bulb burned out, then it would cause these symptoms. Does anybody know what might be wrong and if it would be a

| How to adjust headlights on 2001 Subaru Legacy | 06 Apr 2008 23:38 GMT | 1 |
I have a 2001 Subaru Legacy Sedan and need to make an adjustment to my headlights. I expected to find two screws. One that would move it side to side and one that would move it up and down. There is one large adjustment screw that I can see that you can put a socket on, but ...

I have an 04 Impreza 2.5TS Wagon, Automatic, approx 118,500 miles. Last Friday I had a problem while driving around the Burlington, VT area, which is about 3 hours from home, so I was definitley an out-of-towner when I took it to Burlington Subaru on Saturday morning.

| lifter noise | 06 Apr 2008 17:27 GMT | 2 |
While I'm on a roll posting here, I'll ask one more question: My 2003 Impreza Outback ticks quite a bit. It's always been a little noisy to me, but several people have mentioned it to me lately so I figure it might be getting worse and I'm just not noticing.
