Winter Fuel vs Summer Fuel11 May 2008 01:09 GMT6
Last fall my '99 OBW seemed to suddenly suffer a gas mileage drop. At the
time I though it might be the switch to winter fuel, and my feelings were
more or less confirmed when I got a tank of apparent summer fuel a month or
so ago.

Can someone point me in the right direction for a decent website or
two for information on this car? I am looking for interior parts/
accessories, and engine parts of all sorts. What I really want for the
interior is a cover for the cargo area. When I look in the cargo area,
Transmission uses oil09 May 2008 06:37 GMT6
My 1986 Subaru is using transmission oil, but does'nt seem to leak out onto
the ground. The engine oil level is high and I think the transmission oil is
entering into the engine. The coolant level is good and clear. There was
white smoke comming out of the tail pipe when I put new ...
2006 Forester--paint flaking off06 May 2008 23:14 GMT17
I just noticed that the paint is flaking off around the wheel well on
my 2006 Forester. I thought at first it was just dirt, but when I
touched the area a big flake came right off.  I have 22K miles. Is
this a known defect that Subaru is likely to cover under warranty?
Forester tail light burnout oddity06 May 2008 16:25 GMT2
We own two 2001 Foresters. The same tail light (the #168
on the right side) in each vehicle has burned out in the last
six months. No other lights have failed, as far as I can
recall, since we bought the cars three and two years ago.
1995 Subaru Legacy starting problems06 May 2008 04:31 GMT11
My legacy is having issues!  It often will not start.  It turns over
but  there is no clicking noise.  I also sometimes smell gas and
getting poor gas mileage as well.   If it will not start i let it sit
and after 30 minutes or so it will start again.  If the motor is cold

Help? 1990 Legacy door handle05 May 2008 14:20 GMT2
Could someone kind offer experience/advice re the Passenger (front) door
lock of a 1990 Legacy. The electric lock mechanism responds, but the handle
flips out and then half way back in again, making it a two handed effort to
open the door. Is this just a mechanicl spring problem? Is ...
Crankshaft Sensor Out-of-range Error05 May 2008 06:22 GMT3
My ’97 Legacy Outback won’t start. OBDII code says Crankshaft Sensor
Out-of-Range error.  Sensor wiring and resistance seen from computer
are in spec (2K ohms).  Suggestions?
This happened after replacing blown head gaskets on the EJ25 engine.

Fill my own freon?02 May 2008 13:09 GMT10
   I have a 2006 Forrester.
My freon leaked out.  Maybe it is a leak, or maybe
it is age related.  Before I spend a fortune on
a mechanic to check for leaks, is it possible for me
