Any idea where the ODB connector is in a 2002 wrx? What type is it A or B?
Can any general purpose ODB II reader be used?
I'm interested in PC-based reader because of the software flexibility. Any
recommendations on hardware and software (trying to keep it under $100)?

system. They offer a subwoofer and tweeter option. Will this help improve
the sound considerably or should a spend the money on better ...

Valve lifter rattle - oil filter?28 Jul 2008 10:47 GMT7
My 93 Legacy Turbo has had the same valve lifter rattle for the last
10 years, (& +130K miles).
I've tried just about everything I can find on the net over the years
including removing the valve cover and an oil galley plug to clean.

Airco on a '99 Impreza Wagon switches on and off every few miles (
noticable from engine load and slight noise increase/decrease ),
while NOT maintaining pleasant temperature inside) is this normal

2003 Legacy Wagon Headgaskets25 Jul 2008 19:35 GMT4
During a service visit to the Subaru dealer this weekend, the service

82K miles were leaking engine oil and coolant and advised that I
replace the valve cover, intake, and head gaskets. They also
Fuel pump replacement after-effects25 Jul 2008 15:12 GMT8
My old 0BW is starting to get expensive in its old age. In the last
three weeks it's had three separate major part replacements. First week,
I had a $1300 dinger for a new throttle body and sensor. Second week, my
battery conked out, but fortunately I went aftermarket for the

Once vehicle resumes moving, the temp. gauge slowly drifts back down
Replacement Boxer engine for Outback23 Jul 2008 00:32 GMT2
Has anyone bought and engine from "ccengines.com" in Denver, Colorado?
If so how was the engine?
They claim to build engines from Subaru parts and offer a 3yr/36,000 mile

srs airbags and car seats covers22 Jul 2008 16:00 GMT5
My 2006 Forrester has "SRS Airbags".  As I understand
it, when they trigger, they explode out the side of
my seats.
Hmmmmmmmm.  This probably means that I should not get a seat cover
