Is anyone having / had / has heard of / an oil consumption problem with their 2.5 engine? I need some ammo to take to the dealer. I've got a suspicion that the oil rings are broken - and I hope I'm wrong.

I found a solution to my 1995 Outback starting problem. Yesterday we traded it for a 2007 Forester. Any tips or things to look out for on it? 2.5L engine, fairly basic model low miles.

I bought legacy a coulpe of months ago and have been unable to work out what a couple of buttons do. car is jap import so all manuals in japanese. Have mucked around with buttons, but they do not seem to do anything. have tried to d/l english manual- no success. Pls, can

just a thought here, i think i may have the remedy for my 96 250T overheating, where oh where is the thermistat located on a 250T???????..........i think maybe it has jambed shut during its full week and a half of being empty of water, i suspect some sort of corrosion.

I have a 2000 OBW, 2.5L-5MT, approx. 180k km. Recently it's been exhibiting some wierd jerking and hesitation behaviour. It seems to occur mainly under slow acceleration or cruise control mode. If I'm slowing down, a slow steady release of the throttle would at some point

hi, i have a 250t, its the 2.5ltr 4 cam model, i just replaced the cam belt, it seems now the water is not circulating and the temp wonders every which way, where is the waterpump on these things, i cant see it hung on a belt, is it

I have a 1997 Subaru station wagon with 125,000 miles. During turns, I experience a vibration. The vibration appears to be coming from the front wheels. Comments please. Thanks a bunch.

The update on the puked engine is that the Subaru dealer says he can't tell how it all happened other than to say it threw a rod at the very least. He has part of the rod bearing that went around the crankshaft (the back part) and it's "folded" he says. So, I guess the bolts gave ...

hi all i have a subaru legacy 1994 gt the car runs lovely in dry conditions then when we get abit of rain the speedo dose one full turn then the engine stops. once it stopped i leave it for 5 mins then it fine for another 2 or 3 mins then it stops again. anyone have any idea

I have a 99 Forester and was told that my right front CV boot is broken, leaking fluid onto my exhaust--causing smoke. They tell me I need to replace the entire right front axle to fix this. Is this true? Can’t just the boot be replaced? Please help before I pay for
