Acceleration hesitation30 Sep 2008 23:44 GMT4
I've owned a 2006 OutBack with the 6 cylinder, and, now drive a 2007 Legacy
2.5 GT sedan.
On both, I've been troubled by the hesitation I experience, particularly
when I need the car to move (pulling out into traffic, passing on the

load up the back with that much and keep it loaded for 24 hours until
I get to the destination?
I'm guessing it's OK becaus it's like having 3 good-sized adults in

Turn Signal Lamp Replacement?26 Sep 2008 11:44 GMT9
For a while now I've had a left turn signal acting erratic. Mostly a fast
signal, sometimes slow with a short 'on' cycle, kinda seems to track with
the idle speed, but not always. Right signal works fine.
Looking at the left front lamp in my driveway the bright light is good, but
Does the fuel pump have to work to engage the starter?25 Sep 2008 18:59 GMT9
I have a 2000 outback, 2.5L. For the past month or so its had a
problem getting steadily worse - first thing in the morning when I
turn the key it only makes a "click" - the starter doesn't turn at
all. After about 10 key turns the starter finally engages, it starts
02 Forester Keyless Entry / Security System stopped working25 Sep 2008 06:04 GMT7
All of the sudden, I cannot unlock or lock the car with the keyless entry
FOB and cannot arm the security system.  It used to arm even when I used the
power door lock and shut the door.  No fuses are blown.  Neither FOB works
and one has a new battery so it isn't the battery.  ...
Vibration and rumbling on sharp turns21 Sep 2008 22:58 GMT2
Hi all, doiing many searches on USMB and looking for info on this problem:
I recently replaced the driver's side axle on my '00 OBW as the inner boot
was ripped and had slung grease all over the undercarriage.  It nicely
elimintated the shaking I had on acceleration.  Now I have a ...

My '02 Impreza Outback got 121,000 miles, and my local subaru dealer
has got a Cat converter check engine code reading.t. They quoted me
$850 to replace the Cat ($650 part + $200 labor).
All I need is to pass the California smogs. I am not driving the car
Forester oil filters20 Sep 2008 17:24 GMT5
I noticed my wife's '08 Forester takes a different oil filter than my
'03's.  I wonder if they are smaller?  I change mine but have not
touched hers or bought one for her car.
I ask today because when I went to change the oil in the '03, the dealer

My mechanic says that not problem in that fan on that side is only for cars

I'd like to hear some suggestion on a problem I just had today. 2002

while parking car, got it in the first gear, moved slightly forward
and turned the car off. The clutch pedal didn't move back to the

I recently got rid of my second Subaru. After 10 years of owning Subies:

miles on them (with my wife) I have to report I am done with them for at
least a while.

Bought a used ’99 outback legacy to send daughter off to college. Now
the speedo has stopped along with the odometer. I think this a common
problem.Does anyone have success with the fix?
1998 Impreza Brighton 2.2 Performance15 Sep 2008 20:29 GMT2
My ’98 is quite a dog, doesn’t seem to pull very strongly, although it
runs well and smoothly.  Looking for chips/mods to liven it up some.
I also have a cel--knock sensor.  Is this normally sensor failure or
