Replace drums at the same time as the shoes?16 Oct 2008 01:02 GMT3
I just dropped off my 95 Legacy to have the rear brake shoes replace - me
supplying the parts.  The owner suggested I replace the drums at the same
time saying something like "it might wobble a bit".  Never heard this
before - anyone else?
1998 Legacy Outback Dashboard Illumination15 Oct 2008 13:37 GMT4
Been having a problem for a while now, but until recently, it was so
infrequent that I wasn't entirely sure I wasn't imagining it.
While driving at night, my dashboard lights have been going out. It
happens at an irregular interval, and they won't come back on by

matter) for a 2004 Forester air (long) filter?  Thanks.
Fuel leak13 Oct 2008 11:43 GMT3
Discovered an apparent fuel leak on my 2001 Forester.  Leak emanates from
the right rear.  I had just filled up and was parked at a friends house
where the driveway slopes.  Considering the driveway slopes and the rear
of the car was on the high end it confirms the leak to be ...

Changing rotors on 97 impreza.10 Oct 2008 02:27 GMT3
I need to replace the front rotors and pads on a 97 impreza. It seems
as if it is next to impossible to find any information on this
process. Does anyone have a link to this process? How about at least a
description. I am quite adept at this sort of thing, but don't want to
GPS Changed My Life08 Oct 2008 17:11 GMT1
Every time I go out of my driveway with my GPS I know that it is ready

How is the airconditioning in the 2.5L engine Subaru's?07 Oct 2008 14:32 GMT9
I have a 2000 Impreza with the 2.2 litre engine.  The horsepower is
fine, for my leisurely requirements, but the air conditioning is rather
weak.  I live in the mountains so except for a few weeks of
extreme weather this slight deficiency doesn't bother me.
Consumer Reports06 Oct 2008 21:39 GMT2
The new issue of Consumer Reports arrived in today's mail.
Splashed across the cover are the words, "100 Top Products", and right
below those words is a photo of a Forester.  Inside, it rates the
Forester 2.5 XT as the top Small SUV, and the Forester with manual
Bleeding the Brakes06 Oct 2008 13:21 GMT3
I'm planning to replace the brake fluid in my Legacy. Should the
engine be running during the bleeding process? Thanks!

My 2000 Subaru outback has a little click that sounds like the
blinker... but the blinker isn't going on... then there is a  slight
dimming of the light on the dashboard. any idea what that might be?

turbo engine that has developed a fuel related problem.

2001 2.5RS, 5spd -- Where is the dipstick for the front diff????02 Oct 2008 04:40 GMT3
I'd like to think that I'm neither blind nor stupid.  But my owner's
manual says I'm supposed to check the differential/gearbox lube level
from time to time, something I missed (I have been religious with oil
changes, however, so my thinking was that the dealer was checking it
