2001 Subaru Outback fuse problems31 Dec 2008 16:33 GMT6
Okay, so just the other day, I noticed my power mirrors and cigarette lighter
don't work.  When I check the fuse diagram, they're both on the same fuse,
and when I went to replace that fuse, I noticed it was blown.  So I replaced
it, and sure enough neither of them worked.  So I ...
speedometer recalibration - possible?31 Dec 2008 14:09 GMT8
Hey all,
I just got some winter tires for my 2000 outback wagon.  They are a
bit smaller than the stock (they are 205-55-r16 vs 225-60-R16).  This
causes about a 7% discrepancy in the speedometer reading as well as

The scissor jack that comes with my wrx has a slot on the top. The jack is
slow to use.
Where can I buy a hydraulic jack that has a similar slot on the top? Or jack

I lost my remote last week, the darn thing hardly worked anyway. I'm looking
at eBay, and wondering what I need to know to purchase a replacement. Lots
of used ones available.

2.2L Legacy with headgasket issues?30 Dec 2008 04:29 GMT4
1998 Subaru Legacy, 2.2L, 147,000 miles
I see some coolant on top of the engine.  If the car seats for a week
and then runs, white, sweet-smelling smoke comes out from the engine
bay area.   It looks like coolant drips into the Y-pipe and burns.
AWD causing jerks over bumps23 Dec 2008 16:59 GMT3
I have noticed that when I go over bumps or potholes in my Outback,
the car jerks to one side or the other. I specifically notice it at
faster speeds. I'm wondering if the all wheel drive is engaging and
overcompensating for one tire that might have lost contact with the
Replacement tire suggestions for '06 Outback 3.0 sedan?23 Dec 2008 13:18 GMT3

You have been so helpful to me in the past, I hope you can help me
solve this new puzzle.
Here in Quebec,Canada, it's been real cold lately. And although my

front end growling21 Dec 2008 16:53 GMT3
While driving my manual transmission dual speed 4WD 89 GL wagon in the
snow today I slid across the road and slammed my front right wheel
into a curb.  The rim impacted against the concrete almost flat on,
but when the front wheels were turned to the left.  The rim got dented

2001 Subaru Outback: clicking noise when stepping on the brake?20 Dec 2008 07:01 GMT5
I have a 2001 Subaru Outback and when it's in Park with the key on and
step on the brake, it makes a fairly loud clicking noise between th
radio and the glove box.  Only happens when the key is on.
When in Reverse or Drive... and I step on the brake it doesn't mak
Self flush auto trans? (89 GL coupe)20 Dec 2008 04:54 GMT13
OK, my tranny's really starting to bum me out. I checked the level again,
added a *LITTLE*, and again it's puking from the breather hose.
All of this started last week when I added some trans fluid to what
appeared to be a tranny low on fluid.

I have a small logic puzzle presented to me by my Forester.
