| Considering buying an old Legacy | 21 Jan 2009 16:25 GMT | 6 |
I am considering buying an old Legacy (I am looking at a few cars ranging from 1998 to 2000). I've been doing some research on edmunds.com and found about some nasty problems with head gasket and even brakes which quite a few people seems to had experienced. So, I was wondering ...

| On the way out? My '89 Subaru GL Hatch (1.8L TBI 3-sp AT AWD) | 20 Jan 2009 05:34 GMT | 9 |
Oh, dear. I noticed the oil pressure dropping the other day. Oil pressure has been low since I bought the car, running from about 40 PSI at driving speeds to near zero when Idling. But it would always get almost to 45 PSI (halfway on the guage) from 30 MPH up to 65 or so.

| Seatbelt chime (again) - '06 OBW | 19 Jan 2009 05:11 GMT | 3 |
Sorry to bring this topic up again, but for the life of me I can't figure out what I'm missing. Back when I first got the car, I eventually disabled the annoying seatbelt chime using the instructions I found via this newsgroup. The car went into the body shop awhile ago and ...

| Power Window Motor Replacement? | 17 Jan 2009 00:26 GMT | 6 |
Any BTDT's on this? My son's Impreza passenger window stopped working - no motor sound at all. haven't had a chance to look at it, and since the driver's side works fine I am assuming it's not a fuse. How hard is it to replace the motor?

| 2003 Legacy Wagon Sunroof | 12 Jan 2009 18:03 GMT | 4 |
I have the Legacy Wagon with the dual sunroofs. My problem is that the front sunroof won't tilt up anymore. I can hear the motor work when I press the button, but the roof stays shut. Has anyone had this problem before? Any ideas before I take it to the shop? Thanks!

| Review: 2009 Subaru WRX | 11 Jan 2009 19:06 GMT | 1 |
In 2005, Toyota bought around half of GM's stake in Subaru. As ToMoCo never bought Saab, they never bothered with a Saabaru. Instead, Toyota decided to go for a return on their investment. How? By broadening the WRX's appeal. That's right, the WRX, Subaru's de facto all-wheel ...

| Steering problems - 97 Legacy Brighton | 10 Jan 2009 02:20 GMT | 6 |
My 97 Legacy Brighton has developed a symptom I would best describe as follows: If you make a sharp turn, wheel most of the way to the left (or I think right), the car feels like it is turning and occasionally sliding or not turning even though the steering wheel is not moved. it

| iPod in 2004 Forester | 08 Jan 2009 22:50 GMT | 13 |
I'd really like to be able to plug my iPod directly into my Forester's stereo (those FM transmitter things stink), but from what I've been reading it seems that that may not be possible. I don't want to install an entirely new stereo; are there other (relatively simple)

| Interesting MPG experiment | 06 Jan 2009 06:01 GMT | 45 |
I've been getting around 20MPG on my Subi Outback ('97). After reading an article on increasing your mileage I tried driving 55 at all times where the speed limit was 55 or higher. Drove my girlfriend nuts, but I wanted to see what would happen to the mileage. Well, my MPG ...

| Coolant temp varies after ATF drain/fill | 01 Jan 2009 07:41 GMT | 2 |
Long time no write on this NG (ever since verizon stopped supporting NGs anyway). I drained the ATF from the subie and replaced 5 quarts with 4 quarts of ATF. I obviously needed another quart and so I drove it 8 miles to the Auto parts
