Do moon roofs have drainage tracks?29 Jun 2009 01:28 GMT7
I'm looking to buy a 2003 Outback 5D Wagon LTD, and found where water is
leaking in near the rear drivers side of the hatch right over the jack
storage area. I had the dealer fix it and was told that the power dual moon
roofs drainage rails were plugged and they cleaned them and ...
Things they don't tell you about your AWD Subaru29 Jun 2009 00:53 GMT21
Two words: Torque Bind
Inside of your AWD transmission is a clutch pack which allows the rear
drive to "slip" a bit during tight turns and such, thus eliminating
the klunk-klunk-klunk noise/sensation (torque bind) you would get

Possible current leak with ignition off?25 Jun 2009 22:59 GMT12
2004 WRX sedan.  Symptoms are poor starts sometimes necessitating a
jump start.  Feels a lot like the times where the map light or parking
light was left on overnight.
Originally I thought it might be a weak (OEM maintainable) battery and
2009  Forester turbo engine reliability22 Jun 2009 20:57 GMT3
Looking at 2009 Forester customer reviews at Edmunds.com: some people have
problems with the turbo engine (XT): it just dies after couple thousand
miles.

How much for spark plugs?22 Jun 2009 20:49 GMT6
I usually change my own spark plugs, but on my 2008 Impreza 2.5i I took a
good look at how little clearance there was between the plug openings and
other parts of the car, such as the battery.  Combining that with that I
recently had surgery and did not want to strain myself I ...
'99 Legacy Outback 2.5L - where is the thermostat?22 Jun 2009 13:51 GMT9
I've always looked for the thermostat at the end of the return hose on the
top of the block. I sure hope it's on the bottom for this car or I'll have
to remove the intake manifold and that can't be right. Please tell me that
isn't right.
Changing knock sensor on a 1999 Legacy 2.2L16 Jun 2009 13:58 GMT4
I am going to replace it and was just wondering if I should expect any
coolant leak while doing the job?
Thanks,

Dealer wants $95 to replace filter for A/C-heater15 Jun 2009 05:44 GMT6
It seemed a bit much to me and he didn't say it was bad, just that it
was scheduled to be replaced. What is it and how much should it cost?

If you want to know why a shop don't want to fix the little things for free.15 Jun 2009 00:19 GMT5
A car came into the shop; near 50,000  with 3 lines on the work order.
1-Seatbelt installed backwards
2-mud flap loose
3-trunk only releases from the latch occasionally
Forester coolant level experience13 Jun 2009 17:18 GMT5
From several threads here I've pieced together that
erratic coolant behavior can signal a head gasket
problem.
Here's what's happened so far with my wife's 2001
Instrument panel light out12 Jun 2009 02:10 GMT11
Great to be back.  It's been a while since my last post here.
OK - 2004 WRX.  Approximately half the lighting for the tachometer
(right in the center) is no longer there.  I took a quick look
underneath the steering wheel and couldn't figure if there was any
Mass Air Flow (MAF) cleaner: Any good?10 Jun 2009 02:37 GMT9

I got a salvage air cleaner box.  The car shop jockies have, over the

breaking where are the nuts inside recessed holes that hold them in
