| aussie in trouble 2006 wrx | 31 Jul 2009 00:22 GMT | 4 |
I have a 2006 wrx that has an intermittent problem I was hoping somebody can make a suggestion. Every now and then the car seems to be starved of fuel making it hard to start or worse when your driving it starts to kangaroo hop. There does not seem to be any pattern to it and ...

| Forester Fuel Pump Relay | 22 Jul 2009 02:27 GMT | 2 |
On my 2003 Forester, I want to change the fuel filter: The shop manual says to first de-pressurize the fuel line by disconnecting the fuel pump relay, and has a locating drawing that makes no sense to me.

| 1999 2.5 engine | 21 Jul 2009 17:39 GMT | 4 |
I have just purchased a 1999 outback with the 2.5 engine. After buying it all I keep reading is that the engines are bad. This car has 140000 miles on it and really seems to run good. I had a 1995 Legacy with a 2.2 and it seemed like it would run for

| P0440 Code | 21 Jul 2009 16:22 GMT | 3 |
I have a 1999 Subaru Outback Legacy. I started to see the CEL light come on about 4 weeks back. I took it to autozone and they scanned it as P0440. I made sure my gas cap was tight and reset the error. After about an hour of driving, the light came back again.

| Aw, c'mon you guys! Steve? Johninky? | 17 Jul 2009 16:41 GMT | 6 |
I posted something here asking about the location of the knock sensor. I opened the hood and looked but I don't see it. A description from the spring said it was somewhere under the intake, near the starter, but I don't see it!

| Diesel in U.S. | 17 Jul 2009 03:11 GMT | 29 |
I am interested in purchasing a diesel Subaru in the USA. Why is it that the Europeans get all the cool technology? There is a demand for diesel engines in the US. Has a firm date for the US release been announced? What does the rumor mill say?

| 2008 Outback Sport drivetrain noise.... | 15 Jul 2009 20:57 GMT | 5 |
My Outback Sport / manual gear box is making a clicking noise when driving. It seems to only make the noise under load but not when I rev the engine in neutral. Almost sounds like lifters tapping, but it is not.... Could it be coming from the clutch / tranny???

| Speedometer Calibration | 14 Jul 2009 17:18 GMT | 26 |
I have a 2003 Subaru Outback that has a 4 mph error on the speedometer. It is constant and I have verified it with radar, stopwatch, and a gps, so I know it's not my imagination. I could deal with 1 or 2 mph, but 4 is getting annoying.

| Why is it impossible to even test drive a Forester turbo in the midwest? | 14 Jul 2009 13:35 GMT | 3 |
Is there some reason that most Subie dealers don't even carry inventory of the new '10 forester XT? I have driven the non turbo '10 Forester and liked it, but wanted to see how the turbo compared performance wise.

| Speedometer | 12 Jul 2009 05:08 GMT | 10 |
It seems, speed reading in my car is ~3 miles/hr less than actual (I compared it with speed reading by Garmin GPS). To calculate MPG I use gallons reading at gas station and total miles count since last fiil-up - is this number (MPG) also incorrect?

| Legacy GT wagon | 10 Jul 2009 22:19 GMT | 7 |
I've seen Legacy GT wagons on roads (around San Francisco bay area) several times recently. The cars I saw looked brand new. But that's a mystery: no Legacy wagons are sold in US - but only Outbacks. Is there an explanation of this?
