I have a 2000 Camry 4 cylinder. Is a Toyota brand Oil Filter really that
much better than a Purolator or Fram? I have to change the oil for the first
time since I got the car and I was wondering. Thanks.

What synthetic do you currently use or will use in your Camry? Will you do
an oil test on it for performance etc?

Okay, so I get my car today... it was my dad’s old car; 2001 Camry.
And to be honest I only drove it twice in my life; I always drove my
moms. Anyway, I had to park on a hill today so I put the parking break

Have owned this Avalon since new in 1999. Just had to buy 3rd
set of tires for it. We have 70,000 miles on this vehicle which
is otherwise terrific to drive & maintain but tire wear on it
has been excessive in my opinion. These are not cheapo generics

- changed oil and filter
- changed air and cabin filters

the 9500 mile mark, the "Service Required" indicator is on. Can anyone

I just brought my 99 Camry in for a timing belt replacement (car has
120,000 miles, but timing belt was replaced at 40,000 along with a
faulty water pump).  I got a call in the middle of the day saying that
the mechanics thought the tensioner also needed to be replaced.  Not

About 2 years ago, I wrote about a pronounced rattle/clatter/knocking

I just purchased a new Toyota camry LE four cylinder. It has about 600
miles on it. I had a 99 Camry which got immediately about 28 miles per
gallon in city and about 38 miles or more on highway. No breakin period
on the 99 camry was necessary to get this high fuel economy. The new

the AC system of Camry (1998) with R134a refrigerant.
But today, I just learned that (from Canadian Tire Auto Shop), Canada
doesn't allow handling R134a refrigerant without proper license to
