Hit 200,000 miles on 97 Camry LE!22 Aug 2005 01:54 GMT3
Last week I rolled over 200,000 miles on my Camry. Its the 4 cylinder
LE model. Still runs perfectly. I expect it to go to at least 250,000
maybe 300,000 miles. Anyone got higher miles on a 97?
Mine was one of the first ones sold here in late 1996.
Re: oil change intervals22 Aug 2005 01:47 GMT2
Regarding your information regarding oil change intervals:  I have
been using synthetic oil in all my vehicles for about 10 years now.
Synthetic oils  are VASTLY superior to regular motor oils, and
outperfom them in ALL ways!  Synthetic oil does not thicken and turn

Oil Change Intervails20 Aug 2005 20:35 GMT9
FYI: I work on cars for a living.  About 50% of my business is oil changes.
Many customers go between 4k and 5k miles untill they change the engine
oil.  I've seen mobil one with good fram filters after 4k and it looks
like regular crap oil with a generic filter.  While synthetic ...

We can not get the check engine light to go off. We hooked it up to the

single circuit. This one does not have a cam position sensor. We checked
the crank position sensor. What is the single circuit referring too? ...

My Camry 2000 LE has a rough idle generally in the mornings and it's the

the problem may be.  Had a fuel injection and it hasn't helped.

Lucus oil-To add or not to add?19 Aug 2005 15:07 GMT9
Any one use this stuff before? Does it live up to all the hype lucusoil.com
pumps into it?  Do you have to go with a lighter oil grade, say 5w30
instead of 10w30 if you do decide to use it?
any insight is appreciated.
Camry 2005 Oil Change19 Aug 2005 14:30 GMT4
Might sound like a silly question, but I am about to make first oil change
on Camry 2005:
- how much oil to add after oil and filter change?
- I took a look at oil pan and it looks like a filter is pretty close to it
