97 camry oil condition19 Nov 2005 02:24 GMT6
Wow! I just replaced a leaking valve cover gasket on my newly acquired
97 camry (4 cyl) and I was shocked at how filthy the overhead was.
There was lots of burnt oil everywhere and the inside of the valve
cover looked horrible.  Lots of baked on oil.  It looked like oily
Camry maintenance18 Nov 2005 01:53 GMT8
I'm looking for a qualified auto mechanic in my area(Queens, NYC) to
maintain my 2000 Camry.  What question should I ask to make sure he
has all the right tools and equipment?   Do they need to have certain
specialized equipment for this purpose?
Fill 'er up17 Nov 2005 05:48 GMT5
When I got my 2006 Camry, it was supposed to have come with a full tank of
gas.
Does the dealer actually put in the full 18.5 gallons?
If not, how much are they supposed to put in?
Driver Side Door17 Nov 2005 03:03 GMT2
The "outside" door handle on the driver side door of my 98 Camry will not
open the door.  The lock and inside door handle still function properly.
Any ideas on what might be wrong and what parts might be necessary before
having to take off the interior door panel and taking a look?
window motor slows then stops16 Nov 2005 11:14 GMT1
I have a 2000 corolla and both rear windows have the same problem.  They
will roll down but only halfway up before quitting.  If I wait a minute they
will finish rolling up.  I thought they might be binding on something so I
removed the motors and tried them removed from the ...

Transmission service16 Nov 2005 00:47 GMT6
How many of you, regularly change your transmission fluid and how
often?  There are two sides to this.  Some people religiously change
the fluid like they change their oil but at a 10-20K interval.  Over
people never touch the stuff.  I have heard that if you have never
'94 Toyota camry - won't start15 Nov 2005 16:37 GMT5
This morning my camry just refused to start. Just when I sat in the car
and tried starting it, for a split second it made the usual sound as if
it were going to start, but then it instantly went off.  I couldn't
hear any clicking sound from the starter either thereafter. All the
'98 Camry -- Front Suspension/Control Arm Questions15 Nov 2005 14:24 GMT1
I hit a HUGE pothole last week and now my front suspension is rattling
around more than ever before, especially on the right side. When I took
the car to the garage today my mechanic told me my front control arm
bushings were literally coming out of the car. He said both control
Mid-'90's Camry V-6's oil leaks15 Nov 2005 04:49 GMT4
I have been looking at numerous 1992-1996 V-6 Camrys for sale.  On a couple
I have noticed oil leaks on the back side of the motor (side next to
firewall) the exact origin of which is difficult to pinpoint without a
light, mirror, or having the car up on a lift.  One I looked at ...
engine check light on 2001 camry le14 Nov 2005 18:23 GMT1
This is the second toime this has happened. I was told that the light comes
on afterdepressing the gas pedal then trying to start engine. Anyone heard
of this before? If that is the case what would need to be done to turn
light off? The car runs fine even with light on.
Camry transmission trouble?14 Nov 2005 15:52 GMT6
We have a 2000 Camry 4-door sedan (4 cyl.) that has been running
fine until just recently, when it has shown a symptom that I'm
hoping doesn't mean transmission trouble.
Once in a while when the car is at a stop (in Drive) and you're

94 Camry Exhaust System13 Nov 2005 15:32 GMT2
anybody know what's under the metal braid section of the exhaust system
pipe forward of the catalytic convertor.  I have a leak under there and
the rest of the pipe and convertor are just fine.
Battery Discharge light is on13 Nov 2005 14:40 GMT2
The Battery Discharge warning light is on (under the speedometer on the
dash).  I did finally end up with a dead battery after a while, which I am
recharging nightly with my recharger.
My question is: Does this mean I need:
