| How to change brake pads on 1998 Camry | 27 Mar 2006 12:36 GMT | 1 |
Remove front wheel, remove two 17mm bolts that secure caliper, use coat-hanger to suspend caliper, remove old brake pads (brake pads will be "connected" together by a v-shaped springy clip - make mental record of how it's positioned), compress caliper with C-clamp, use rubber-band

| high cold idle normal? | 24 Mar 2006 17:14 GMT | 6 |
99 camry, when it's cold, will idle between 1500 and 2000 rpm. Speed comes right down though once I put the car in gear. Whent the car's warm, the idle is more reasonable - around 750 or so rpm.

| 2000 Camry V6 Differential | 23 Mar 2006 23:17 GMT | 7 |
My 2000 Camry V-6 has 93000 miles on it, and after all of the visits to the dealer, no one ever mentioned the need to replace the fluid in the differential. I have the transmission serviced every 30K. Does the differential need servicing separate from the transmission?

| hard shifting when flooring it | 23 Mar 2006 21:20 GMT | 13 |
My '96 camry shifts very smoothly when I drive it "normally" (sanely). Almost can't even tell that it shifts. When I get the urge to floor it, though, I notice that it shifts fairly harshly at around 5000 rpm. (The car doesn't shift so harshly it does

| 96 camry stuck in gear when cold | 23 Mar 2006 20:00 GMT | 2 |
When driving to work, I noticed again (this happens every time my '96 camry is cold) that the engine runs at 2500 rpm when I'm coasting at 45 miles per hour. The tranny finally shifts after a few seconds (when it's warm?).

| auto-rx and distributor O-ring | 23 Mar 2006 17:34 GMT | 5 |
I went ahead and placed an order for a couple bottles of Auto-RX. We'll see what it picks up... I'm wondering also if the Auto-Rx would repair the leaky distributor O-ring (which is leaking oil). Any thoughts on this?
