97 Camry Motor Mount21 Apr 2006 22:36 GMT7
Recently, Meineke replaced my lower motor mount with an after-market
part (Precision).  Since it got fixed, the car has been really
vibrating when idling or in stop and go traffic -- which it never did
before.  I took it to another mechanic who said that he thinks the
97 Camry Popping/Clunk Sound21 Apr 2006 12:31 GMT3
Recently, when turning while the car is in reverse, I started noticing
a popping sound coming from the area near my right front tire. Now,
when I accelerate quickly from a dead stop or drive away after being
stopped on a hill, I'm hearing that same popping/clunk noise from the
2002 ac problem21 Apr 2006 05:17 GMT9
I posted a while back about a problem with my ac on my 2002 Camry. At
the time the ac light would flash off and on and I could get the ac
working again by repeatedly flicking the fan off and on. I know-that
wasn't a fix but it got me by:)
What is correct temp rating for thermostat 88 Camry?21 Apr 2006 00:25 GMT2
One more question:   I need to replace the thermostat on a 1988
Camry 4-cyl.  Took the old thermo to Pep Boys, and they looked it up
on the computer. They brought out a Stant thermo..... but although the
flange OD was correct, it was about 1 1/2 to 2 in long (deep)...about
Noisy valves20 Apr 2006 22:36 GMT16
I have a 1990 DX with the 3SFE engine. It has a lot of valvetrain
noise, so I removed the valve cover and everything looks ok (not
broken).  I checked the valve clearance and that's where I have my
question.  How much pressure should I use to try to get the feeler
88 Camry: is engine cutting out from overheat?20 Apr 2006 13:06 GMT22
Asked about this in previous post... know a little bit more about it
now.  Its an 88 Camry wagon with 4-cyl engine. After about ten minutes
of driving the engine loses power.  It is not really cutting
off/dying, but it will get to where all you can do is walking speed.
Chilton's or Haynes manual for 2003 Camry?20 Apr 2006 02:25 GMT8
I enjoy performing my own repairs and maintenace and have books for a
1994 Wrangler and Kawasaki motorcycle.  I have been unable to find a
book for my 2003 Camry (4 cyl.) though.  I initially thought it may be
too early

98 Camry - Remote for locks does not work properly18 Apr 2006 15:44 GMT3
To lock or unlock doors, I have to hold the button for several seconds
or until it eventually works. I have replaced the batteries and tried
to clean the contants. Is there a better repair?
98LE Power Door Lock and Window Switches - Loose18 Apr 2006 15:43 GMT3
This set of switches embedded in the driver's armrest is loose and pops up
above the armrest when the door is slammed shut.  Is there an easy (or
inexpensive) way to tighten these down?
The dealer tells me the door will have to be disassembled and labor charges
98LE Air Flow Selector Bulb Replacement 18 Apr 2006 14:58 GMT1
The backlight bulb is burned out behind the "channel selector" air flow
selector control for the a/c and must be replaced.  The dealer is quoting  a
high labor charge of somewhere between $50 and $100 to replace the bulb.
Is this correct?  Why so much?

Door Upholstery18 Apr 2006 12:38 GMT3
I have a 1996 Toyota Camry and the cloth trim on the inside of the door
is delaminating. This is the insert that the door handle goes on. Any
suggestions on repairing this. I was thinking of pulling the inserts
out and spraying with contact adhesive! Any clues?
93 Camry Foggy Headlights18 Apr 2006 01:01 GMT4
I have a 93 V6LE Camry and have noticed that in the last few years, the

Highway driving, I get about 30-31 mpg on my '99 Camry (68k miles), and
28-29 mpg on my '96 camry (135k miles).
Is this typical?  I was really impressed by the '99 mileage (all-time
high was about 31.5+ mpg, but I suspect that was because my dad was
