Thottle surge/drop at speed31 May 2006 14:00 GMT9
Hello, I have a '96 Camry(4 cylinder, 5spd) that has a slight throttle
surge/drop at a constant speed. It only happens when you just holding a speed
(not during acceleration) and it's not that bad(just slightly annoying). It
runs perfect in all other aspects. The Haynes manual says ...

How much to replace the hood?30 May 2006 16:57 GMT9
Can anyone give me a ballpark figure how much I can expect to be
charged to replace the hood on my 2000 Camry? If it is going to cost
huge amounts I may just elect to leave it as is...the ding is a bit
ugly, but I can probably live with that.

Is 4-cylinder Camry available with Navigation System? When I go online
to configure/build the vehicle, the navigation system option only
appears for the 6-cylinder models. Is it possible to order this option
with the 4-cylinder model?

mechanic's time that is?

How to remove hard carbon deposits?29 May 2006 14:07 GMT9
After my 1988  4 cyl. 3S-FE Camry is driven for a few minutes the
engine loses power.  It is losing fuel pressure   (have gauge
attached). But for the first few minutes it runs fine.  Actually, when
you open the hood and watch the gauge when it has started
'90 Camry no reverse or neutral28 May 2006 15:16 GMT6
I have a 90 Camry with 200,000+ miles, runs fine but:
tranmission started dragging recently, whirring before coming fully engaged
at start. The other day  went to back up and there was no reverse, and car
now moves forward in neutral.  Still runs fine as long as I am going
89 Camry door switch replacemet, how to?28 May 2006 12:18 GMT3
Hello, a friend of mine gave me his '89 camry wagon, and the only known
problem is the driver side auto belt is non functioning. After
extensive testing and troubleshooting I figured out the culprit has to
be the switch linked to the door latch.

transmission reliability  1994 Camry27 May 2006 21:36 GMT4
I need to replace the automatic transmission in my mother's 1994 Toyota

Does anyone have an opinion on how reliable these transmission are or
how many miles they usually last.  I'm thinking of installing a used
2000 Camry Drive Noise27 May 2006 18:59 GMT6
I have a 2000 Camry, ~95k miles.  When driving there is a scraping sort of
noise coming from the front of the car.  Related to vehicle speed, not
engine speed.  I've checked brakes...I installed new pads last July...CV
joints and tires.  I see nothing unusual.  Could it be wheel ...

I've needed to use the air conditioner in my Camry a few times this spring.
It ran fine a few times and then I noticed that the fan was blowing but the

back on and the AC came back on. It seemed like it ...
Correct transmission fluid level26 May 2006 22:50 GMT2
Correct transmission fluid level - not as easy as it sounds.
The manual calls for checking hot, but not after driving for long
periods at high speed, or idling with air conditioning on in hot
weather. In these cases wait 30 minutes. Fluid temperature should be
