This is a 1999 Camry, of 100K milages. It works perfectly all the time

Need new Timing Belt11 Jun 2006 07:08 GMT22
My 2000 camry needs a new timing belt...~95K miles.  I'm a pretty good home
mechanic.  Is this something I can do myself?  If so, can anyone recommend
some good literature on the topic?  I'm using a Haynes manual and it isn't
as detailed as I would like.
Need O2 sensor advice.10 Jun 2006 21:53 GMT7
So I bought a 1994 Camry XLE V6 with 88k miles and the check engine
light came on after I bought it. One Hundred dollars later the dealer
tells me I need a new O2 sensor and they'd put it in for $480. I told
them that was crazy. The maintaince invoice says "Found Code P0135-
"Toyota Camry SE totally redesigned"10 Jun 2006 21:21 GMT2
Toyota Camry SE totally redesigned
Toyota deemed that the Camry needed sharper styling and, in some cases,
a more sporting personality to continue its dominance. The result is
the 2007 model, which has been completely redesigned.
engine vibration10 Jun 2006 14:23 GMT6
Is it possible that, on a 5 year old car (2001 4L Camry, 70K), the engine
suspension, the engine mounts and the transmission mounts could get "weaker"
or not as "absorbant" as when they were new and let get through more
vibration from the engine to the body?

Request for guidelines on cleaning sticky idle air control valve.09 Jun 2006 18:05 GMT5
I have a 94 and a 99 Camry and both have sticky idle air control valve.
I have been consistently replacing them every 18 months.  Then I found
out about this group and learned that there was alternative solution to
the problem.  Many suggested that cleaning the IAC valve worked for

2003 Camry LE V6 questions09 Jun 2006 13:36 GMT3
Few questions.  Looking at a few 2003 Camry LE V6 options and have run
into some conflicting information.
1) Does the 2003 LE V6 come with ABS standard? (OR: How can I tell if
the car has ABS or not? What to look for?)
AC vent blowing chunks09 Jun 2006 02:13 GMT8
The right passenger side AC vent in my 99 Camry started blowing out
bits of black, very sticky foam-like material whenever the AC is on.
They go all over the car, in my eyes, etc.  I also saw a piece of the
stuff about the size of a matchbook in behind the louvers of the vent.
scratches on brand new car 07 camry08 Jun 2006 22:06 GMT4
I have some scratches on Titanium silver metallic paint (not deep, but
clearly
visible) resulting from using the wrong side of a dishwashing sponge
If any of you have a strong recommendation for a particular brand of
Warning light stays on08 Jun 2006 20:35 GMT4
I have a 2002 Camry.  The warning light on the instrument panel that
indicates that one of the rear lights is out went on a couple of weeks ago.
The rear side marker bulbs (both) were, indeed, blown, so I replaced them.
Now all the lights work just fine.  However, the warning ...
95 Camry 4 cyclinder -- steering problem08 Jun 2006 12:33 GMT5
My Camry tries to wander off to the right.  Just a little but I have to
keep continuous force on the steering wheel to keep it going straight.
My tire place did a 4-wheel alignment but it didn't help.
Is there a "zero set" for the power steering box?
95 Power Window Short07 Jun 2006 14:56 GMT3
I've got a strange short in the power windows on my 95 LE. It started
with blowing the fuse under the dash and I found a few wires that had
backed out of the master switch plug and may have touched. Now the
right rear window behaves very strangely. Replace the fuse and the

I just bought a 1991 camry 2.5 liter and as soon as you turn the key on
both cooling fans come on, can anyone help me! Thanks. Also just installed
two reman. heads and now at about 1500 to 2000 rpms I get what sounds like
a cam rattle in the front head any suggestions?
