Transmission problem?01 Sep 2006 00:55 GMT4
My 1998 Camry automatic transmission seems to be shifting hard on both
acceleration and deceleration. Actually one of the reasons I prefer a Toyota
to a Honda was because the transmission shifts were so smooth one hardly
knew they were happening. Is this a problem and/or a simple ...
Can you get plastic parts for older Camrys?01 Sep 2006 00:19 GMT3
That is, interior parts.  I need both halves of the steering column
shroud. Also the plastic inner wall of the liftback on the wagon
model....1988. Is it possible to get these parts?    Would they cost
an arm and a leg?

a question30 Aug 2006 23:56 GMT6
Sorry I am not sure whether this question is proper here...
I backed up my car in a parking lot and it hit the rain pipe outside
the building of an auto shop when I purchased and installed four tires
there. it's not serious: The pipe got deformed at the lower end but
Yokohama AVID TRZ tires30 Aug 2006 18:43 GMT2
Never realized tires could result in such an improvement in handling.
Also nice that they have a 700 treadwear rating, reasonable price,
asymetric tread and advanced rubber compound.
Just very pleased with the new tires. Traffic has really been
mufflers, '96 camry / '99 camry?30 Aug 2006 16:12 GMT5
The mufflers on my '96 (and on my wife's '99) do their job very well.
Too well, maybe.  When the engine's on, you almost have to look at the
tachometer to see if the engine's running, because the engine's so
quiet.

Window not closing30 Aug 2006 05:34 GMT2
My 2000 Camry CE front passenger side car window is not closing

It takes three to four attempt before it completely close the window

Turn signal clicker?30 Aug 2006 05:34 GMT4
My wife just bought an '05 Camry.  The turn signals seem to make no noise at
all (I am somewhat deaf).  Is there any way to add a clicker, so it makes
noise like the old cars did?
Dick.
distributor on '99 camry?30 Aug 2006 05:12 GMT7
On my wife's 99 camry, I couldn't find a distributor there - the spark
plug wires seem to go to these funny looking boxes about an inch and a
half square.
Is this the "waste spark system"?  How does this work?  Are they

A few more ? on my 88 Camry29 Aug 2006 20:23 GMT3
THe engine runs good now, and replacing the oil pump w/crankshaft seal
fixed the oil leak.
First, there is a sensor mounted on the coolant inlet manifold which
the upper radiator hose connects to. It is mounted vertically on the
