Timing Belt?29 Aug 2006 05:51 GMT4
I was just on my way to work this morning and the car died. I had been
putting off replacing the timing belt and it might have come back to bight
me. I am about 5000 overdue for a change. Anyway, the car died but it will
still turn over and everything. If you were to do a cursory ...

07 camry: any way to monitor which gear the transmission is in?28 Aug 2006 20:12 GMT5
Are there any aftermarket items that can be connected "somewhere" to
monitor the current gear that the car is in.  It's a 4-cylinder 2007
camry.   The reason I ask is because I suspect that it's downshifting
to a lower gear than it should during moderate climbs.   The evidence

O2 Sensor 2000 Camry V628 Aug 2006 07:04 GMT2
My wife told me that while I was out of town, a warning light came on
in her 2000 Camry V6.  She took it to the dealer and was told that an
O2 sensor was bad.  They want over $220 to replace it.  I have changed
O2 sensors on my other vehicles, but I do not know which one is "bank
88 Camry startup question28 Aug 2006 04:46 GMT1
As my mechanic of 20 years retired, I need to be steered in the proper
direction.. My 1988 camry with 40k (thats right 40k) mileage has all
of a sudden devoloped a starting problem. When parked over night and
go to start in AM  it always used to start on the first turn of the
brake light on dash stays on27 Aug 2006 23:23 GMT4
I traced the fault to the sensor in the brake fluid resevoir.  Is this
sensor replaceable?  Do you need to change the whole resevoir?  Any comments
would be appreciated.
Rust converter: use it on exhaust manifold?27 Aug 2006 18:46 GMT3
Its an 88 Camry. As you can imagine, it is pretty rusted   (have the
shield off now). It's got 200 K miles on it. From the exhaust pipe
coupling on back, the exhaust is not in bad shape. Was wondering if I
can get more life out of it by applying  that rust converter treatment
92 Camry tranny27 Aug 2006 10:26 GMT1
>From reading online I am sure I have a soleniod problem with my tranny.
How hard are these to remove or replace? My problem is that it skips
1st gear. If I manually shift it to low it drops back to 1st and then I
can shift it back up after I am underway. So it's only when i am in ...

'97 Camry power steering loud screeching noise!25 Aug 2006 20:00 GMT2
When I turn the steering wheel completely to the left or to right and only

Does anyone have any suggestions to what may be occurring or causing this?
