Are Hirschmann Aftermarket Power Antennas Any Good?30 Sep 2006 22:04 GMT8
The OEM unit on our new-to-us Camry wagon is not behaving
well. A replacement OEM unit costs $279 - installation not
included. I see that I can use a Hirschmann 2040 unit, with
a little adapting, and it costs *much* less. Are these things any

'90 Camry LE V6 -- Ignition Coil and Igniter bad, what part number/model number's do I need to buy in order to replace?30 Sep 2006 01:02 GMT6
The car has been unable to run for over a month, so I took it to the mechanic. The guy at the shop says over 20 diagnostic codes showed up, and that it would take a while to find out what exactly needs fixing, but during the time he was looking at it he apparentlly found out that ...
bushing replacement 94 camry29 Sep 2006 22:30 GMT2
My trusty 94 camry turned 200,000 miles the other day so I figured it
was time to do some maintenance.
I replaced the rear sway bar bushings which was very little trouble and
now I'm contemplating the front ones.
Poor Toyota Service29 Sep 2006 21:32 GMT10
During the past two oil changes at the dealership where I purchased my
Camry LE, I started to notice oil spots on my garage floor. The first
time, I brought the car back to the dealership and they indicated it
was oil residue from the oil change. The second time, I wrote a letter
Loud knock in turns, and vibrations.....29 Sep 2006 19:54 GMT7
Its a 1988 Camry I4 wagon. 195K miles. Both front tires have low miles
almost full tread, no abnormal wear...not yet. When making a right
turn, it makes a loud knock-knock-knock sound, one knock for each
revolution of the transaxle, it sounds like. Also the steering wheel
Camry '99 problems.29 Sep 2006 11:54 GMT3
I'm in college (and hence very poor) and I just got myself a used '99
camry LE V6 stick shift (my first car!!). It's a great car and I love
the way it drives (heavy, unlike Hondas, and sturdy). Since the past
few weeks I've been noticing a few things in the car that I don't know
Crankshaft Pulley Removal on an 87 Camry 4cyl29 Sep 2006 08:32 GMT4
OK, I've tried everything to get the crankshaft pulley off.
The hub is securely immobilized with a shop-made tool.
I'm using a 6point socket on with a breaker bar and a cheater.
I'm turning CCW.
All kinds of emission codes- help28 Sep 2006 06:28 GMT1
My son brought our camry home from college and I am getting all kinds
of emission codes.
It all started with a catalyst below threshold bank 1  (420) which was
intermittent last winter.

passive antitheft system on 07 camry28 Sep 2006 00:41 GMT5
I received a letter from my insurance company asking if my new 07 Camry le
has a passive antitheft system. I know that it has some kind of antitheft
system but not sure of the verbiage. If the car is so equipped I can get a
discount on part of my insurance. Anyone know if this ...
Throttle position sensor27 Sep 2006 21:18 GMT1
My 96 Tacoma 2RZ-FE showed a code P0510 "Throttle Position Switch
Closed". Is this the same as the Throttle position sensor? If so where
is the cheapest place to buy a replacement, and is it very hard to replace?
Thanks,
98 Camry Odometer27 Sep 2006 03:14 GMT11
I took my mother's Camry for an oil change yesterday.
It had 52,000 miles on it.  Now my mother says the odometer shows
72,000 miles.
Can this have happened without the repair shop having altered it?
broken front drivers side door handle27 Sep 2006 01:22 GMT4
The plastic handle broke out of my drivers side door while I was opening it.
The lock itself is still ok. Should I epoxy it back on? If so what with?
Should I try to get one at a junkyard? If so how long will it take me to
pull? It looks like I will have to dismantle the whole ...

concerns about two things, but figured if I wanted a Camry
