| 1998 Camry engine splash cover | 31 Dec 2006 14:49 GMT | 4 |
I recently purchased a 98' Camry LE and noticed that there is no cover or splash shield under the front of the engine. The Toyota parts breakdown shows a cover they call the engine under cover. I was told by one salvage yard owner that not all Camrys had these shields in

| 98 Camry LE at 100K miles | 31 Dec 2006 14:43 GMT | 3 |
I have a 98 Camry 6 cylinder (LE?), auto transmission. I got it when it had 70K miles. It just reached 100K, a psychological marker that made me wonder: what preventive maintenance should I be thinking about? I have been good about oil, brakes, battery, tires, coolant, and

| Folding side mirrors | 31 Dec 2006 14:22 GMT | 10 |
I just baught a Toyota Camry 2002. I was surprised to learn that the side mirrors can not be folded in. I can't believe that the biggest car company in the world does not know how to make the side mirrors fold in.

| Instrument Panel Lights | 29 Dec 2006 04:06 GMT | 5 |
Just recently, in my '92 Camry, my gauge lights went out. I thought it was a blown fuse, but I checked all of them, and they are all fine. Is there a bulb that is for the dashboard lights that is also for the air-conditioning and gear indicators? Thanks.

This started today: when I open the door of my 98 Camry, neither the interior light not the "door open" sign on the dashboard comes on. The interior light bulb is ok as it does come on when the switch is flipped manually.

| Rough Idle during Warming Up | 28 Dec 2006 05:40 GMT | 1 |
I have a 1990 Camry. The idle is very rough during warming up. Engine speed would suddenly increase to very high for a few seconds and drop back to near stall. It will repeat this before it's completely warned up (20-30 minutes of driving in cold days). The engine will stall if this ...

| 1995 LE Four Automatic: Options for Marginal Transmission? | 27 Dec 2006 05:30 GMT | 18 |
The wagon we bought recently shifts ok when cold, but more harshly and at higher RPM when warm. The fluid is burned, even though it was power fluashed a year and 4k miles ago. Not so surprising, because that flush was apparently the first fluid

| differential oil | 26 Dec 2006 18:00 GMT | 8 |
My co-workers were a bit surprised when I told them my Camry ('96, '99) takes ATF fluid in the differential. They said they would think it would take gear oil, since the diff does a lot of hard work, to extend the life of the differential gears.
