1998 Camry engine splash cover31 Dec 2006 14:49 GMT4
I recently purchased a 98' Camry LE and noticed that there is no cover
or splash shield under the front of the engine. The Toyota parts
breakdown shows a cover they call the engine under cover. I was told
by one salvage yard owner that not all Camrys had these shields in
98 Camry LE at 100K miles31 Dec 2006 14:43 GMT3
I have a 98 Camry 6 cylinder (LE?), auto transmission. I got it when it
had 70K miles. It just reached 100K, a psychological marker that made
me wonder: what preventive maintenance should I be thinking about?
I have been good about oil, brakes, battery, tires, coolant, and
Folding side mirrors31 Dec 2006 14:22 GMT10
I just baught a Toyota Camry 2002.
I was surprised to learn that the side mirrors can not be folded in.
I can't believe that the biggest car company in the world does not know
how to make the side mirrors fold in.
1992 Toyota Camry Radio Problem30 Dec 2006 16:37 GMT10
I have a 1992 Toyota Camry, and the car was my mother's before it was
mine.  About ... 2-3 years ago the radio went out one day will she was
driving.  Anyway, last year I bought the car from me her, and have been
using portable radios for my music and news needs.  But, a friend
Solara SubWoofer29 Dec 2006 17:18 GMT2
I need some help, please. I have a Toyota Solara and the noise from the
subwoofer is particularly loud and muffled. I would like to turn it off
(disconnect it, if necessary). Is there a way to do this? And, yes we
have tried turning the bass setting on the stereo to the lowest
When changing a timing belt...29 Dec 2006 17:08 GMT13
... what else can be changed at the same time, while working on that
side of the engine?
I know about the timing belt, but what other seals, pulleys, etc?
Thanks,
Instrument Panel Lights29 Dec 2006 04:06 GMT5
Just recently, in my '92 Camry, my gauge lights went out.  I thought it
was a blown fuse, but I checked all of them, and they are all fine.  Is
there a bulb that is for the dashboard lights that is also for the
air-conditioning and gear indicators?  Thanks.
98 Toyota Camry Head lights & parking lights won't turn on after installing remote starter29 Dec 2006 01:47 GMT3
I installed the bulldog remote starter and it works. But, my headlights
and parking lights won't turn on after that. The light in the dash
board also won't turn on. I even removed the remote starter unit and
still my lights won't on. All other accessories work well and the car
Light doesn't come on when door is open29 Dec 2006 00:36 GMT4
This started today: when I open the door of my 98 Camry, neither the
interior light not the "door open" sign on the dashboard comes on.
The interior light bulb is ok as it does come on when the switch is
flipped manually.
Rough Idle during Warming Up28 Dec 2006 05:40 GMT1
I have a 1990 Camry. The idle is very rough during warming up. Engine speed
would suddenly increase to very high for a few seconds and drop back to near
stall. It will repeat this before it's completely warned up (20-30 minutes
of driving in cold days). The engine will stall if this ...
Finally need parts28 Dec 2006 05:09 GMT4
Where is the best place to buy Toyota parts.
A/C compressor rebuild27 Dec 2006 09:12 GMT7
Anybody has the access to the 10AP17C compressor rebuild instructions ?
Also I would like to know what is different in the 10AP17C
compressor designed to work with R12 and the same 10AP17C designed
to work with the R134a refridgerant, beside the obvious: top plate
1995 LE Four Automatic: Options for Marginal Transmission?27 Dec 2006 05:30 GMT18
The wagon we bought recently shifts ok when cold, but more
harshly and at higher RPM when warm. The fluid is burned, even
though it was power fluashed a year and 4k miles ago. Not so
surprising, because that flush was apparently the first fluid
What coolant for 04 Camry I427 Dec 2006 05:24 GMT7
Mom can't find the owners manual.
Is there any special coolant needed for this car?
2004 I4 Camry
Thanks
differential oil26 Dec 2006 18:00 GMT8
My co-workers were a bit surprised when I told them my Camry ('96, '99)
takes ATF fluid in the differential.  They said they would think it
would take gear oil, since the diff does a lot of hard work, to extend
the life of the differential gears.
