Mystery Exhaust Noise19 Feb 2007 02:35 GMT1
Drove my 2002 Camry on snowy/slushy highways. The temperature dropped below
freezing . Parked the car overnight, the next morning it was 7 degrees, Now
when starting the car cold there is a real noticeable exhaust leak, like
when the header pipe has become separated from the ...

Some close friends had a strange experience in Chicago: Their Camry was
parked in the official parking lot of Garfield Park Conservatory run by
Chicago Park District. It is supposed to have security. Whatever
happened, their two passenger-side tires were stolen from the parking

are these tires safe to use?17 Feb 2007 19:46 GMT3
Four years ago I lived in Vermont and bought a v. good set of snow
tires and rims for my car - was alternating seasonally between those
and the set I bought the car with. I moved to Maryland the next year,
and they've been sitting in my basement since then. Now, with an icy
Bad for A/T?17 Feb 2007 19:01 GMT8
Questions on A/T.
In city driving I kinda like the feel when I put my gear in 4 or 3
instead of D, It doesn't seem to have an effect on my mpg, but will
this be bad on my A/T?
Check Engine Light17 Feb 2007 18:25 GMT2
2003 Camry V6. Two days ago got a Check Engine light. I went to Auto
Zone and dumped the code: po300 and po306, meaning misfire on cylinder
6. I intended to disconnect the battery to clear the code, but two
days later the light went out by itself, and has not returned.
brake line corrosion questions17 Feb 2007 18:11 GMT9
I had the brake fluid in my '96 camry changed at 110,000 miles for the
first time.  The guys at Brake Masters said it was like syrup coming
out, and would need changing again soon when it turns dark.  It's at
140,000 miles now, and dark again; this time I'll change the fluid

Is a Solara a Camry?  I see it advertised as a Camry Solara. I am
considering buying one, anyone have any experience with a Solara, are
they any good?
Bosch quad spark plugs?16 Feb 2007 07:05 GMT9
I'm trying to find ways to make my 4-banger '96 Camry feel just a
little more like a V-6.
I noticed Bosch sells quad-spark plugs.  Do they deliver noticeably
more power than the usual dual-spark plugs?
2007 Camry Transmission Behavior16 Feb 2007 01:14 GMT33
I have had a new 2007 Camry V6 LE for almost two months and 2000 miles.
It's a nice car except the automatic transmission shifting is just not
as smooth as I expected. Sometimes it seems like the 6 speeds are too
much as the transmission is constantly shifting up or down. When
1995 Camry question for Daniel or others interested15 Feb 2007 17:33 GMT2
I recently posted about my 1995 Camry (Australian build) and Daniel
suggested that I overhaul it instead of buying a replacement. As I
like the car very much (great car) that is what I am doing. So far
I've had the power steering rack and pump replaced, the front and rear
New Stereo Installed.....Sound Still Not Very Impressive15 Feb 2007 05:45 GMT6
I had the stock AM/FM cassette player in my '98 Camry replaced with a
Pioneer AM/FM CD player yesterday and the sound is little better then
when I had with the stock unit. The Pioneer unit puts out 50 W per
channel.
Weird dashboard/headlight problem15 Feb 2007 04:13 GMT1
I have a 97 Camry and while driving, I turn on my headlights and the
"R" (reverse) indicator lights up.  Anyone have any idea what's going
on with this?
99 Camry alarm14 Feb 2007 20:12 GMT2
Does anyone know where to find the alarm control module on a '99 Camry
XLE?  I expected it under the drivers seat, but its not there.  The
status monitor on the dash looks the same as on my '97 LE.  Can I
reasonably expect this is the same system?  My '97 remotes look like
