2007 Camry getting only 15 mpg15 Aug 2007 03:32 GMT9
My 81 year old mother just loved her 2005 Camry-so she decided to buy a new
one.  The new car makes a rattling noise when put in reverse FOR THE FIRST
TIME IN THE MORNING ONLY.  Also, as mentioned, her mileage sucks.  We are
going to  Toyota arbitration next week-any ideas?  They ...
99 Camry Auto hard shifts13 Aug 2007 23:03 GMT11
You guys have probably heard this one before - sorry. The check engine
light is on and this 4 cyl automatic jolts while shifting. I cannot get
any error code - the light stays on constantly when the diagnostic port
is jumped. The transmission fluid level seems ok. This started ...

I guess my little Camry is starting to show it's age. Recently had to
replace the water pump, timing belt and some valves that my mechanic
said would cause the car to fail inspection.......$940.00 and 7 days

Brake Caliper dust boot?11 Aug 2007 07:03 GMT11
Our Camry is a 1995 V6 LE. I recently re&re'd the brake rotors with ATE
Premium rotors and noticed one of the caliper piston (dust) boots was
damaged (a cut in the folds). I doubt it will affect the integrity of the
piston and sleeve for a little while, at least until the crappy ...
Bleeding ABS brakes?11 Aug 2007 06:29 GMT3
After replacing the damaged dust boot on one of the front calipers I decided
to try a one-man bleed of the brakes using a handheld vacume pump at each
bleeder screw. The process works so well on my simple '55 Chev truck brakes,
but no good luck in suctioning much fluid out of ...
wheel alignment question for technicians....11 Aug 2007 02:00 GMT2
Is it better to have a wheel alignment before buying new tires or after?  If
the old tires are on the car, the tech may see where adjustment is needed
based on bad tread wear...or is the alignment machine so sophisticated that
he would pay no attention to tire conditions.  If new ...

Cheap tires10 Aug 2007 01:47 GMT18
My 2007 Camry Hybrid came with Bridgestone tires. At 18,000 they have
started to cup on the corners, make significant road noise and look
like they are almost without tread.
The car has been maintained to specs with tire rotation on schedule
2007 Camry LE: Missing Exhaust Manifold Cover?09 Aug 2007 06:53 GMT2
Just purchased a new 2007 Camry LE last week and I love it. At the
dealership I noticed that some Camry's randomly have a cover that covers
what appears to be the exhaust manifold attached to the front of the
engine. The cover was absent on my car. I asked the salesman about this ...
switching back and forth from mineral to synthetic oil09 Aug 2007 01:25 GMT1
Camry 2002, 65000 miles, any problem if use once synthetic then switch back
to mineral oil? I heard that having to stick to synthetic once you made the
step is a myth.
Always changed oil between 3000 and 5000 miles depending of usage. Do I have
