91 Camry ball joint stuck19 Jun 2008 03:25 GMT4
I'm still trying to get to my CV boots.  I've made it to the ball joint
which is plain stuck to the control arm.  I've tried a 2 arm gear puller to
remove it but it won't budge.  Is there a trick to separating these?  I have
the car on jack stands with no weight on the suspension ...

91 Camry locking nut stuck16 Jun 2008 13:57 GMT3
I'm trying to remove the locking nut on the left-hand front hub in order to
work on the CV joints, however it is stuck.  I've extended the handle of my
socket driver with a 3ft steal pipe.in order to undo the nut but it won't
budge.  In fact the steal pipe is bending.  Any ideas ...
New Camry Rattle15 Jun 2008 19:34 GMT43
I just purchased a new Camry.  It has a very annoying but "low volume" tinny
rattle coming from the passenger side back seat/window/trunk area that I
can't seem to locate.  I haven't taken it back to the dealer yet in fear
that they may create more rattles.  Has anyone experienced a ...
Gas Mileage Question for Camry Owners14 Jun 2008 03:41 GMT11
City gas mileage for the new 4-cylinder Camry is listed as 21 mpg.
However, in fine print the sticker says that actual mileage can be
anywhere between something like 17 - 23 (I forget the exact numbers).
Is this range of mpg due to the different driving conditions that may
mileage at 60mph vs 70mph12 Jun 2008 15:18 GMT10
I'm planning a trip cross country, about 3,000 miles, and am trying to
estimate how much extra time and money it takes to cruise at 70mph vs
60mph.  I've read that around 50-55mph is where optimal mileage occurs,
but realistically, driving that slow on the open highway often ...
Pricing11 Jun 2008 17:40 GMT2
I just ran a Camry LE thru Edmund's web site pricing, selecting a few
basic options, and their TMV (What Others Are Paying) price is within
a few dollars equal to the MSRP. Is this reasonable/correct based on
other people's experience?

rolling up the passenger side rear window as is something is shaking
or trembling. There is no noise  when rolling down though. Now window
does not even remain close. Window glass just slip so I have to put
Be glad you have a Camry and not an Accord---Headlight Bulb Replacement08 Jun 2008 02:16 GMT6
Last weekend I was visiting my sister in Atlanta and noticed that one of
her low beams was out on her 2004 Accord. I naively offered to change
the bulb for her, suggesting she change both of them at the same time to
Sylvania Silver Star bulbs. After all, I'm used to doing minor
EGR/VSV Repair Cost - 99 Camry 4 cyl 81K mls?07 Jun 2008 19:22 GMT3
I also have a intermittant check engine light w/ EGR code (P401).
I see there are many very helpful postings regarding the EGR/VSV,
however I don't have any mechanical skills so my question is what
is a worst-case repair cost I would expect?
Shock absorbers06 Jun 2008 02:10 GMT19
How often do you normally need to replace shocks in camry?
According to http://www.monroesavethesquirrels.com/ you
should replace shocks every 50000 miles. Is this acurate?
I need to replace mine now, probably way overdue at 246
Maximum Tire pressure (a police perspective)05 Jun 2008 16:51 GMT29
We've talked here before about max cold tire inflation pressure.
Here's a fascinating article from Officer.com .  Some police
officers drive with maximum air pressure in their tires as shown
on the tire sidewall, not the door sill or the owner's manual.

It makes sense that, when the engine is cold, if the oil is too thick,
greater engine wear occurs.
