| Mystery bolt in the passenger side half shaft assembly - 1995 LE sedan, 4-cyl | 30 Jul 2008 20:14 GMT | 14 |
I found a small bolt which seems to do nothing in its place... Passenger side half shaft, the longer one, has a bearing. The bearing is secured in the bearing mount with a snap ring. On the bottom side of the bearing mount there is a bolt,

I have a 1994 Toyota Camry with about 140,000 miles on it. The driver- side rear strut is making some noise. If I push the wheel from the side while it's jacked up, there is a slight give that causes part of the racket. It's as though the stut's piston doesn't quite remain in

| CV Boot and other work | 30 Jul 2008 11:38 GMT | 2 |
I have a split - actually detached - CV boot on the driver's side that I need to get fixed. I've heard it's just as well to get the whole axle half shaft for that side replaced. Any other work that should be done at the same time? Is there a seal or something where that shaft

| List of lights for '95 Camry LE | 29 Jul 2008 21:25 GMT | 6 |
The "burned out bulb" indicator is on but I can't find the bad bulb. Looking at a wiring diagram shows several that I didn't think about-- the cigarette lighter is an example. The diagram says there is a glove compartment light, but I can't find it. I think the way to proceed is ...

| Groining Camry | 24 Jul 2008 02:10 GMT | 7 |
My 1998 Camry LE has a lot of noise from the front end. It sounds like groaning and creaking. Is this a common problem for the 1997-2001 series or peculiar to mine. Struts have been changed. I am trying to decide if I should start changing out everything to see what works ...

Car: Camry 4-cycl, 1994. I had it refilled last summer and I was surprised that it stopped working earlier this month. I'm not sure if it's out of refrigerant again, leaked, or something else is broken. Are there a few steps to diagnose the

| Failed Smog emissions test | 22 Jul 2008 20:47 GMT | 9 |
On a 95 Celica, we failed emissions. Idle or low speed was ok. The problem came in to play for hi speed CO of 10% and hi speed HC of 220 both at 2500 rpm. The limit for hi speed co should be below 1.2% and hi speed HC should be waay below 220.
