Is the radiator cap supposed to be replaced periodically?  Every 10
years or so?

Mechanic claims the "rod bearings" on my 99 camry (4cyl) are gone and I
need a new engine. Is a $5,000 expense the ONLY solution? Is there
anything I can do to get more from what has been a reliable vehicle?

Would someone kindly be able to tell me how to top up Auto Transmission
Fluid in Toyota Avalon 2003 Model.The owners Manual does not give any
instructions for it.Or must it be taken to Toyota dealership.TIA for any

My car is leaking oil. When I drive, and turn on my heating, i can
smell a little bit of burning oil (a little stronger smell when i'm
going slower, or am slowing down.) I usually takes about 15mins for the
smell to start, and doesn't happen all the time.

I have a 2000 V6 Camry and have only 54K miles on it.  The car is
pretty much driven only on the weekend.  My quesiton is the timing
belt.  I have not changed it yet.  Do i need to go with the miles or
the years with this maintenance. Planning on taking a road trip this

Since past 10 days,  always my temperature sensor on Dashboard shows "High"
I did following
1. Checked the coolant levels  (level is full in recovery tank)

I have a 98 Camry XLE with 37K miles. It has developed a stange fast
clicking noise coming from behind the glove box. At first I thought it was
something vibrating in the glove box but the frequency of the ticking never
changes and continues even after the engine has been turned ...

Problem started with just a 'click' when the key was turned on.  Tried
jumping it off to no effect.  Had the starter rebuilt and was told
that the solenoid was bad.  When the rebuilt started is put back on
the car you can now hear the starter running but the engine is not

Do I have any hope to stop a water pump leak by using stop leak?
It's been leaking for months, so I stopped using coolant, now using
rain water.
It's leaking faster and faster---would coolant slow it down?

I have a 2005 V6 SE with just over 60,000 miles...all routine service up
to date.
Tonight, the "Check Engine" indicator stayed on. My first thought, as I
had a fill-up last night, was to check the gas cap...which was secure.

Can't seem to find this information anywhere...
Does anyone know if the reported reliability problems of the Camry LE
V6 have been solved by Toyota, or are there still issues with the 2009
models?

My '96 Camry (159,000 miles) is parked outside where the temp is 30-40
degrees (sometimes has ice on the windshield).
When starting the car the engine makes a clattering sound, which goes
away once the engine is warm.

So, my 1994 Toyota Camry 4-Cyl (Engine 5S-FE) was recently having
intermittent issues starting and operating. The difficulties came
either starting cold or hot, sometimes I would need to turn the key
longer than necessary when starting cold, or would need to wait 30-45

Can anyone suggest a means of
playing audio cassettes through the
sound system of an 09 Camry SE?
(It has no cassette player.)
