I have a 96 camry with the check engine light on. I need to get it to
pass smog, the error code reads p1780, which is the park nuetral
switch. On my dash, all the lights light up except for when in drive
and the car starts in any gear. I went to pick a part and got another

One concern I have is they use an oil filter labeled Hasting CF410 on
my Camry.  Is this brand anything good?  Is anyone familar with

1999 Camry:  Tough to clean EGR valve?24 Jan 2009 22:10 GMT9
My check engine light has been on in our 1999 2-cylindar Camry.  The other
night a neighbor hooked up a device and got back code P0401.  He then
cleared the code.  The check engine light came back on the next day.
I've done some research on this code and I think I have a decent ...
99 Camry Hesitation while maintaining speed24 Jan 2009 21:41 GMT5
My '99 Camry V6 (222,000 miles) just developed a problem where it
hesitates / surges while trying to maintain a constant speed, most
notably around 40mph.  While coasting or accelerating everything seems
fine.  No service codes are tripped.  Does anyone have any ideas as to
1998 Camry - water in trunk22 Jan 2009 17:39 GMT9
My '98 Camry has recently started to accumulate water in the trunk.  I
noticed water in the passenger side tire jack well (where the jack is
located) and in the tire well proper.  I dried it out and about two months
later, there's water again!  It must be rain water because I ...
mystery flat tire -- can't find puncture hole20 Jan 2009 23:06 GMT16
I went to the movies the other night in my 1993 Camry. Driving to the
theatre, there were no problems. When I returned to the car, less than
3 hours after I left it, the right passenger tire was completely flat.
I just took it to the local tire shop, and they could not find
Best year for a used Camry?19 Jan 2009 16:49 GMT26
I'm in the market to replace my 1998 Camry (bought new in '97) with
190K miles.  According to my research, it seems the later models
starting with 2007 have some transmission problems, yes?  So would
that make the 2005-2006 a good year to buy?
97 Camry Radiator leak18 Jan 2009 06:17 GMT17
Smelled radiator coolant and found a small weeping leak on the plastic top
of the radiator. Not at the place where the plastic top joins the radiator
but  where the top makes a turn upwards. It looks like  a crack in the

Replacing door handle - 94 Camry18 Jan 2009 05:01 GMT1
My daughter managed to brake the handle off the driver's door on her 94
Camry while trying to get it open when it was frozen shut.   I found one
online but was wondering how much trouble it is to get the interior panel
off and get access to the handle.  Any advice appreciated!
Intermittent engine stop11 Jan 2009 22:02 GMT10
My 1991 4-cyl Camry has a very nasty problem.  About 5 times the engine
has cut out.  On all except one occasion this happened just after
starting the car, sometimes after it had been running then left to sit
for some time.  On one occasion it happened while travelling at 100 kph ...
Gas Filler Door Release Problem '95 Camry Sedan11 Jan 2009 05:51 GMT9
The filler door refused to open at the gas station this evening. It
didn't feel stuck or as if the cable was broken, and there was no one to
try the two person approach, so I had to go home without filling up.
With a helper holding the release up, I was able to get the door to ...
