I  a have 2002 camry v6 transmission.  I am not sure this is normal.
when my car is cold and i shift into drive (parking brake on or off)
with my foot firmly on the brake pedal my car lunges/jerks forward.
the brakes stop the car rolling but the jerk is uncomfortable.

So, fill me in on the transmission issues on Camry cars after 2001.
What kind of cars to avoid...?  Are the problematic ones easily fixed?

just finished a deal today. I got rid of an old Ford van that was
worth less than a thousand and got $3500 in trade. It wouldn't even
start anymore so I had it towed to the dealer. Here's the deal I
accepted:

Toyota: 80% made in USA
GM/Ford/Chryler: 77% made in USA
It's more Patriotic to buy Toyotas... LOL

Somebody said they saw an infomerical where a chemical was rubbed on

I saw check engine light on the dash copule of days ago. Took to
nearest autoparts store to check the error code. Error code was P0420

I turn the key and moves about 1/2 inch allowing the steering wheel to
reease and then that's it. Won't move to start the car. Could this be
a fuse? Anybody got any ideas.

This car had mild surging at highway speeds when we bought it
several years ago. Now, after a tuneup (shortly after we bought it) fuel
filter, and throttle body cleaning, the surging is still slowly
worsening. It is worst when accelerating moderately to highway speed.

How does one remove the panel under the dash on the passenger side to
get to the resistor???? Any pics anywhere on the web?
