| Battery warranty question | 19 Feb 2005 17:15 GMT | 23 |
From what I hear, the battery in the Prius is warranted for 10 years by Toyota. That seems a bit much. I'm old enough to remember J.C. Penney's had a lifetime battery (free replacement) as did Firestone (I think it was them).

| Coastal Tech | 19 Feb 2005 06:30 GMT | 2 |
Does anyone know if the accessories sold by Coastal Tech conflict with warrantees? I am interested in a couple of the devices that they have developed, and I may purchase them. But I would less inclined if they void any warranties.

| Weight: Plastic Panels | 07 Feb 2005 13:39 GMT | 2 |
Anyone know why manufacturers dont use more body panels, especially on the Prius, to save weight, hence fuel. I understand a number of the Prius panels are plastic already I'm guessing its due to strength/safety?

| mileage vs. A/C usage | 05 Feb 2005 13:51 GMT | 16 |
What are people's experiences with the Prius with air conditioing? I've read that the gas engine needs to run for the A/C to work, so how much benefit do you see from having a hybrid in the South where the A/C is used much of the year? Normally if you're sitting in

| Tire wear on 2001 Prius | 01 Feb 2005 05:02 GMT | 10 |
Hi group, I own a 2001 Prius and I've been totally happy with it (although I'm envious of 04 owners!). My only disappointment has been with the rate of wear and tear on the tires. The car has about 40,000 miles on it, and I've had to
