Prius Interior Problem29 Dec 2005 00:31 GMT7
Hi there everyone, I'm currently the proud owner of a 2005 Prius,
painted black with a black/grey interior.  On the dashboard is (was)
black plastic paneling on the dashboard and on the sides for interior
trim.  However after a visit to the car wash, the trim turned a dark
2005 vs 2006 interior 28 Dec 2005 17:37 GMT2
Just wanted to know if the interior of the Prius has changed for 2006.
The toyota website is showing two new cloth intererior colors (dark
grey and bisque) and the pics on thier website also show a diamond
pattern on the seats. I was under the impression that the 06 were

really bad MPG after 5000-mile checkup25 Dec 2005 20:35 GMT15
I guess I need to check the oil level and the tire pressure.
Any other thoughts?  I am suddenly down about 10 mpg--that
AFTER what I gather is a normal wintertime drop in MPG.
Stuck in a snowbank23 Dec 2005 14:40 GMT14
Headed into town this evening.  I was going about 3 mph in the curve where I
previously tested my VSC.  Road had about 4" of snow over ice.  Slowly slid
to the right into the snowplow's windrow where it now sits.  Popped the cap
from the front bumper for the first time and ...
Prius Technical Studies21 Dec 2005 09:56 GMT2
I found some interesting reading in the Yahoo "Prius_Technical_Stuff" forum.
Here are a couple of reports distributed  by the Oak Ridge National
Laboratory.  Be cautious in that a few technical inaccuracies have been
pointed out, such as the false assertion that the Prius has a ...
Resetting "Maint Required" Light as Common Courtesy20 Dec 2005 15:23 GMT2
Memo to Toyota dealerships:
Please reset the "Maintenance Required" light while performing an oil
change as a common courtesy for the customers. Failure to reset the
indicator will result in me taking my Prius to another dealership or
What should one expect to pay for the 5000 mile service?19 Dec 2005 18:44 GMT25
Since I've bought my car from one of those "$3000 over MSRP places" (I only
paid $500 over so I didn't get hit too bad!), I'm wondering how much they
think they'll get away with at service time that's coming up?
I've seen lows in the $50's and then some over $240 saying all this ...
Mitsubishi Goes Electric: New EVs in 201016 Dec 2005 06:11 GMT2
http://www.greencarcongress.com/2005/05/mitsubishi_goes.html
Mitsubishi will build its EVs with in-wheel motors and lithium-ion
batteries, both of which the company has been working on for several
years. Mitsubishi forsees using the Mitsubishi In-wheel motor Electric
Mileage question16 Dec 2005 02:52 GMT14
On our 2005 Prius with 5000 miles so far I have a question?  Mileage on
highway driving seems to be between 48 mpg on up to 54 mpg.  However in town
mileage is about 40-45 mpg.  Have talked to the dealer twice.  First call
was informed that I would not get the quoted 60 mpg until ...
Winter Gas Mileage15 Dec 2005 16:33 GMT11
A question for all who drive a Prius in cold and snow country.  This
summer I was consistently getting 50+ miles per gallon with my 2001
Prius.  Now that it's Winter in Ohio I can barely get 42.  I realize
that this is still pretty good.  I also realize that there are a lot of
taking delivery this week!14 Dec 2005 12:41 GMT2
I'm getting an '06 White Prius this week! I'd appreciate any advice for a
new owner. Thanks

Will the 2006 Prius be the last Prius built?
HK package 6 not available in all regions?11 Dec 2005 17:54 GMT20
I put a deposit on an '06 Prius today, but later in the afternoon I got
a call from the dealer telling me the HK package isn't available in our
region. That's a bummer because I really want the HID lights, but I'm
not willing to pay an additional $1900 for the Navigation package ...
Prius - how much space on back seat?11 Dec 2005 02:20 GMT1
Hi happy owners of Toyota Prius,
I have one question - is it possible to fit three child seats on the
back seat of Prius? Doesn't have to be ISO-FIX, but I need that
information to decide if I want to buy one. Local dealers doesn't have
