Traveller's hybrid discount25 Jan 2006 18:53 GMT1
It has been announced but nothing hard will be known until February.
We've called two agents and the last one told us it will be offered "in
36 states." The rest is up in the air.
When Traveller's makes this plan real, we'll be contacting our agent to
Prius in Snow25 Jan 2006 02:41 GMT3
Well, the AWD Passat, which has just been revived was dead
this morning, so I drove the Prius.  I must say it did just as
well as the Passat would have, and perhaps better.  I am most
pleased, because this was one of my bigger worries about the
Bluetooth phone book transfer (Option package 6)25 Jan 2006 02:01 GMT10
I have package 6, which includes Bluetooth-based hands-free telephony.
>From other posts in this forum it's evident that some Bluetooth phones
cannot perform the phonebook transfer to the car. My phone is a
Motorola Razor V710 and does not seem to be able to do this. Can anyone
MPG Reset After Fill-up and other 2006 trivia20 Jan 2006 17:05 GMT7
I've had my 2004 Prius for a bit over two years and liked it enough to buy a
second one. I just filled up my new 2006 for the first time and noticed that
although the mileage on the display screen reset to zero, unlike the 2004,
the MPG readout did not reset. I am wondering if ...
air conditioning in Prius20 Jan 2006 07:44 GMT4
How well does the air conditioning work in the Prius ?  I live near
Houston, Texas where we typically run the A/C in the car for 8 to
9 months.  From June through September the A/C will be set on
MAX due to the 100 F average peak temperatures.  The night
34 MPG?19 Jan 2006 21:49 GMT9
I got my new '95 in November. I knew my mileage was not what others are
getting, but last night I actually figured it out and 34.18 is what I got on
my last tank. It's NOT broken in, it's at a little over 1,700 miles. And I
uderstand that mileage on these cars is lower in winter. ...

Override anti skid16 Jan 2006 19:16 GMT5
I could not get up my driveway today.  We had snow last night and as
soon as the wheel spins there is the power shuts down.  This is not the
way you need to drive in lousy weather.  We also have a Lexus and have
to turn off the computer so that we can get up the driveway.
Panic button on fob16 Jan 2006 17:23 GMT2
I've searched the user manual that came with our 2005 BI Package #3 Prius
and have been unable to find anything about that little red button on the
fob.  I assume it will sound an alarm, but how would you turn it off?

Any way to disable the "I Agree" screen on the NAV system?
durability of Prius13 Jan 2006 18:59 GMT8
If I bought a Camry, maintained it well, drove it defensively I could
expect at lest 200k miles or more. (maybe less).
But how many miles can I expect with a Prius?
When will the batteries need to be replaced? How much will the
Barcelona Red06 Jan 2006 23:28 GMT3
Has anyone seen a 2006 Barcelona Red?  I mean - with their own eyes,
not in a photo?  I've ordered it sight unseen and am very curious about
how it looks.
If you'e seen it - I'd love to hear your impressions.  If you took a
Where does extra electricity go?03 Jan 2006 14:24 GMT15
I was driving home from skiing, down a very long hill, and had the Prius in
its 'B' gear.  The battery reached "full" charge (according to the dashboard
console), but I was still going downhill and still in 'B'.
So if 'B' slows the car down by converting excess speed into ...
