15K Service15 Aug 2006 03:59 GMT5
If I recall correctly, I promised Jean I would report back on the cost of my
15K service.
By remarkable coincidence my Prius rolled over to 15K as I came to a stop
inside the dealership this morning.  Service manager came to the window and
warning message13 Aug 2006 22:59 GMT5
Has anyone gotten a warning message before?  Four days ago I got a message
that said something like "Warning.  Battery will not charge unless placed in
neutral".  When placed in neutral the screen showed the battery was charging
and when placed back in drive the warning came on ...

Can the prius run on e85?
insurance rates13 Aug 2006 21:27 GMT4
Shopping for insurance for my 2006 Prius, I am finding insurance quotes
are twice what I was paying for my 2000 Outback. Have others
encountered this with the Prius? By the way, I have a flawless driving
record--not even a parking ticket, ever.
Monster truck nazis, was: prius smug "factor"13 Aug 2006 18:06 GMT1
I never have met a smug prius driver.  Dear idiot, do not confuse
smugness with laughing all the way to the bank.
Monster truck and dinosaur (SUV to you and me) drivers in my opinion
are the worst drivers, i've seen them accellerate to run down
TO: My fellow trolls here, who use profanity and insults08 Aug 2006 08:52 GMT2
Were you all losers before buying your Prius or did your Prius make
you that way?  I'm starting a support group for trolls here and since
there are so many, my work is legion.
Re: New Prius Headlights08 Aug 2006 08:50 GMT13
I just bought a new Prius with Package 7.  This supposedly includes HID
headlights.  The manual shows the headlight switch as having an "automatic"
position (position 3) in which the lights are turned on automatically at
dark and turned off in daylight.  My Prius does not have a ...
"Squoot" noise when pushing on brake pedal08 Aug 2006 00:24 GMT2
We took a trip with our Prius and while away from home, I discovered that
every time I pushed on the brake pedal, the car reacted normally but made a
small (but noticeable) "squoot" noise that I believe was coming from under
the hood.  The noise stopped as soon as we returned ...
Weirdness after car-wash08 Aug 2006 00:02 GMT3
Took my Prius to the car wash today, after my car was washed, the
Keyless Smart Start was broken.  I had to place my key in the slot
rather than leave it out and in the car like I always do.  Any ideas
offhand as to what could be causing this?  Think it's related to the car
A triangular and car with icon appears on the screen07 Aug 2006 15:51 GMT53
I have got an 1999 Pruis. The problem I have got is when I start the car
up, the triangular appears next to the speedometer and also a car with an
icon appears on the screen with the sign "WARNING". Can you please let me
know what the problem could be and how I can solve it.

I'll keep stepping on your necks, uh, the gas pedal.
Car wax question05 Aug 2006 04:01 GMT2
Any of you ever try Turtle Wax Ice?  I'm almost out of wax and a friend
suggested I try it.
Re: Prius Tax credit05 Aug 2006 01:53 GMT5
Does anyone know if Toyota has sold more than 60,000 Prius
cars this year, so that the $3,100 tax credit will be reduced.
Thanks,
Dick
New Hampshire Rt 9 west into Vermont and then onto 91 south04 Aug 2006 21:58 GMT6
I read some time back that due to a shortage of ethanol there was a
temporary halt to requiring it.  The reason I'm mentioning it is because my
mileage has been nothing short of spectacular even with AC.
I try not to pass drivers who appear to be trying to conserve fuel but
Gas Mileage: Whom Do You Trust?02 Aug 2006 20:55 GMT31
2006/package #8. Does one trust the digital display or the fill-up
quantity? I just returned from my first longish trip in the Prius (2450
mi.) It is my practice to top off the tank when refueling on such a
trip because I know that -- even on the Prius -- I will be burning it
