| Backup Beeping | 28 Sep 2006 14:20 GMT | 3 |
I have searched the owner's manual for the 2007 Prius and can't find a way to silence the backup beeping. My 2004 Prius allowed you to do this. Does anyone know how to disable this pretty much useless feature?

| AM Radio | 22 Sep 2006 04:43 GMT | 15 |
I've been experiencing a problem with the reception on the AM radio on my 2004 Prius. The car has the premium sound system. It sucks to not be able to hear the Red Sox games on the radio, when I'm only about 15 miles north of Boston as the crow flies. Anyone else having trouble

| Future Tech, plug-ins and electrics | 22 Sep 2006 03:00 GMT | 3 |
Several days ago Toyota announced that they are developing plug-in hybrids. These are hybrids with larger battery packs. They're designed to be plugged into a socket and charged at night, then you can drive up to, perhaps, 8 or 10 miles on battery power alone before the

| Transaxial died | 15 Sep 2006 03:29 GMT | 3 |
I purchased a 2004 Prius in late 2004. It was delivered around End of Dec. The car never has any major problem. After reaching 5000 miles, I averaged 60 mpg for about 3 weeks. The rate went down to 58, then 53 when I got tired

| Installing a 2-way Radio in a 2006 Prius | 15 Sep 2006 02:06 GMT | 1 |
I just passed the 3000 mile mark with my new 2006 Prius. Best record so far for my 52-mile commute to work is 59.5 mpg. About three times the mpg I was getting with my Highlander! I like the car and am glad I got it. I am an amateur radio operator and would like to install a ...

| 2 Prii family | 14 Sep 2006 21:56 GMT | 10 |
Well, my wife has had her Prius (2006 package #4 Seaside Pearl) for just about 3 months now. Since she got it, our 2005 Avalon Limited has just sat in the garage except for the 12-mile round-trip to work on weekdays. Anytime we go anywhere together, we take the Prius. So,

| Keyless entry to house | 14 Sep 2006 16:56 GMT | 6 |
My wife and I like the keyless entry to the Prius. Now we want a similar lock on our front door. We do want want to take the key out, push a button or use a card. We just want to be in the proximity of the front door and touch the door knob.

| Stupid tire store conversation about air pressure | 06 Sep 2006 22:39 GMT | 19 |
Everyone in the Prius community who reads this newsgroup or any of the mailing lists and web forums knows about increasing your tire pressure to increase mileage. Hell, I'd heard about and been doing that for years on my previous cars, too, just not to as high a degree as now.

| Take advantage of lower gas prices now! | 06 Sep 2006 04:58 GMT | 7 |
Gasoline is down to $2.78 and there's a corresponding 20 cent a gallon drop right across the border in CT. This REALLY is a good time to buy the Prius you want. This drop in prices is a good diversion. I bet the crowds are back looking at Hummers ;)

| ECU Flash affects MPG? | 05 Sep 2006 08:39 GMT | 32 |
There's a growing rumor that the last Engine Control Unit program update has caused the engine to operate more frequently, thus lowering the miles per gallon. I thought I had lost some miles per gallon to the hot weather until I heard this. Anyone have any support for this?
