2006 Prius29 Mar 2007 22:09 GMT12
It's time for a newer car, and I like to buy them a year old to save money.
(With mileage as low as possible and checked out by a trusted mechanic, of
course.)
I think I want a Prius--I love the idea of 60 mpg, and I like the size of
Prius in northeastern PA29 Mar 2007 01:14 GMT4
Thinking about a Prius. Live in northeastern Pennsylvania near
Scranton. Wondering what people think about the vehicle in the hilly
areas around here.
Running With Out Gas28 Mar 2007 23:11 GMT4
Given that the Prius has batteries, I have (a silly?) question
If you run out of gasoline, will the Prius still run?
And if so, for how long?
Or, can't the Prius run in "Electric only" mode
Rebuilt Prius?23 Mar 2007 15:33 GMT3
Often a big discount is offered on cars that
have been wrecked and then rebuilt. i.e.
insurance salvage sale to reconstructed or
rebuilt title.
Can you tow a Prius?23 Mar 2007 03:13 GMT20

2007 Prius Warrantee opinion?19 Mar 2007 18:06 GMT7
Well I just bought a 2007 NL and I'm faced with the decision on the extended
warrantee(Platinum?).
The factory warrantee seems pretty good and comprehensive and while I
generally reject extended warrantee's as nearly pure profit, I do tend to
Towing?18 Mar 2007 06:36 GMT5
Oh, another thing - and probably very stoopid, but has anyone towed a small
trailer with a Prius? (Is there a hitch which fits it?)
2003 Prius plug-in?17 Mar 2007 13:48 GMT9
On calcars.org, I found the statement, "Current PHEV purchasing
options are limited. Initial conversions are for 2004-2007 Prius (not
2001-2003 Prius)",  Anybody know why PHEV is not available for the
2003 Prius ?  I like the size, visibility, turning radius, and
First Driving Impressions17 Mar 2007 08:22 GMT9
Just got a new Prius at work.  It has the Touring Package.  I've put
about 50 miles on it and my first impressions are a mixed bag.  The
good news is I got 42 mpg on the trip home from the office, which is
about twice what I usually get.  The car has no problem keeping up
Oil Change Interval16 Mar 2007 21:15 GMT4
Given that synthetic oil lasts longer, is it necessary/advisable to use
standard 5000-mile interval?

Long drive comfort tips?16 Mar 2007 04:22 GMT6
My wife and I about to go on a long trip in a couple of weeks (over 20
hours of driving.) I've been happy with my 2006 Prius, but have
noticed that on long drives my hips can start to get sore. (I'm rather
tall).
Concerns over the Electromagnetic Radiation in hybrid cars12 Mar 2007 14:02 GMT21
Greetings all,
I'm calling out to you for your personal experiences/observations/
feedback about driving a hybrid car, and exposing yourselves to
Electromagnetic radiation (EMR) within the cabin of the car.
Prius Hybrid10 Mar 2007 23:35 GMT43
I am thinking of buying a Toyota Prius Hybrid, but I am not sure how it all
works. I'm not sure how reliable the whole hybrid system may be, or of any
maintenance issues with them. Any comments from current owners would be
appreciated.
