When the ICE shuts off when not required and battery power is
motivating the vehicle does the air conditioning shut off
as well? Is the compressor operated by a belt connected
to the ICE's cranshaft like all other cars or is the Prius system different?

just bought a used 05. Twice the warning has come on and I've only
been able to put about 9 gallons in the tank. Doesn't the tank hold 12
gallons? Do I really have 3 gallons left in the tank? There is one way

Is regular maintenance a nightmare to do yourself?  I want to be able to
change the oil, and fluids without taking it to a dealer.  Do it on all my
Hondas, but wonder if there are Gotcha's with the Prius (no access to
filter, etc.) ?
