After a week of sitting in the garage, we got into our 2006 Prius and found there was no power--everything was dark and dead. After finding and uncovering the 12 volt battery, I checked the voltage and found it to be 2.5 volts -- definitely discharged.

Not an owner, but considering a Prius and have test driven one. My understanding is that the gasoline engine is not running at idle, but this morning (a humid) morning, I pulled up besides a Prius at a stop light and exhaust gases were obviously pouring out of the tail pipe.

It is time for our 60,000 mile service. Is there anything Prius- specific about this that we couldn't do at a local non-dealer shop? I'm sure they can do the standard oil changes and filter changes just fine, but is there any reason we should go to the dealer and pay the

Hello I'm considering purchasing a used prius (2004+) and was wondering how often do heavy commuters (40+ mile) fill it up. I have to fill my current car every 5 to 6 days and was wondering if I could achieve something like filling a Prius every two weeks or every week
