| 03 Tundra, my 1st oil change, and a little tip for you | 23 Sep 2003 05:08 GMT | 3 |
I was looking at the oil filter and the pan under it and thinking "That's gonna make a mess." So, I found a heavy-duty plastic bag and made sure it had no leaks. I let the truck cool some to avoid melting the bag, and put it under the filter with the opening spread wide. To

| Why I will never buy a Toyota again.. | 23 Sep 2003 03:27 GMT | 22 |
Hi all I have a 1990 4-runner 4wd with 235,000 miles. I have had this thing for 2 years and in that two years TWO separate dealerships one in Michigan (Spartan Toyota) and one in Tennessee (Capital Toyota) have both wreck my truck. They both had to pay for the repairs. Just

| 03 Tundra tires | 22 Sep 2003 21:48 GMT | 4 |
I'd like to replace my stock tires with something set up better for snow and off road, but without sacraficing much on road drivability. I have an 03 Limited Access Cab, with 17 inch wheels and wouldn't mind something a little taller than the 265/65/17 that came on the truck. Any ...

| Comments on 2 brands of tonneau cover | 22 Sep 2003 00:49 GMT | 4 |
Anyone have any first-hand experience (owning, living with and/or installing) with either Xtang (soft) tonneau covers, or the Trac Top/Jackrabbit hard covers from Pace Edwards? I'm tempted by the cheaper, soft covers, only because it's what I see on 99%

| 99 Isuzu Rodeo or a 97 Toyota 4Runner | 21 Sep 2003 20:10 GMT | 1 |
I have been a Yota man for a long time. All the 5 vehicles that I currently own are all Toyota. I need to get a SUV for my wife and I am debating between a 97 Toyota 4Runner and a 99 Isuzu Rodeo. The 99 Rodeo is a 4x4, automatic 3.2l. The 97 4Runner is a 2W drive 2.7L

| 90 4x4: Troubleshooting help: Brake and Alternator Light | 21 Sep 2003 02:42 GMT | 5 |
Hello, all. I'm hoping someone can help me out, and perhaps save me the trip to the mechanic's. Over the past couple of days, the brake warning light and the alternator warning light turn on simultaniously. They'll remain on, sometimes steady,

| False alarm - 4Runner OEM alarm system | 21 Sep 2003 00:17 GMT | 3 |
Suddenly I've been getting numerous false alarms from the OEM alarm system on my '98 4Runner. Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity? Has anyone else dealt with this in the past? Of course this mostly happens in the middle of the night or when I park near

I'm looking to replace the stock 17" Bridgestones that came with my '03 Tundra. I'm looking for offroad tires that still perform reasonably well onroad. I'm looking at the Bridestone Dueler A/T REVO's.. anyone own these? You guys have any other tire suggestions?

| 2003 4runner V6 Oil Leak | 20 Sep 2003 02:50 GMT | 3 |
My new V6 2003 4runner has a minor oil leak at the driver's side valve cover, where the oil fill tube extension meets the valve cover. I've checked the two flange nuts for tightness and they are snug (I don't want to break anything by overtorquing). It appears to be a metal to ...

| Tundra 4WD question | 20 Sep 2003 02:31 GMT | 4 |
I read in a Tundra FAQ that you should NOT run 4WD on dry pavement (w/ zero slippage). The Toyota manual talks about running the 4WD about 10 miles a month to keep the front lubricated, however, the manual mentions nothing about this restriction. Does anyone here run 4WD on

| 2003 Tundra tire balance | 19 Sep 2003 18:43 GMT | 6 |
I have a 2003 Tundra with 1200 miles on it, and the tires won't seem to balance. I took it back and had the dealer balance them, but when I hit a smooth stretch of new highway at 60mph+, I still have a noticeable shake. It's got the 16" Dunlops. A friend also has a
