I have a '91 SR5 4x4 with 152k miles on it. I got it 2 years ago. It's
been impeccably kept it's entire life. (Great shape and receipt

A few weeks ago I was driving along at ~40mph and a loud whine kicked

Tacoma Exhaust20 Apr 2004 02:06 GMT2
Just a question about exhaust systems for a 03 Tacoma with the 2.7L engine.
NOBODY makes a cat back system other than Borla.  Borla is great and all but
I don't want to have to refinance my house again to get it.  My stock system
is fine but I would like to free up the breathing of ...

'84 Toyota lift question19 Apr 2004 18:14 GMT4
My brother and I picked up a couple of Toyota pickups a couple months ago...
two are '82s and one is an '84.
One of the '82s had a Skyjacker 3" lift on it, so we took the springs from
there and put them onto the '84 (because it's the nicest one).   After we
2005 Tacomas18 Apr 2004 21:00 GMT5
Does anyone know what changes are coming with the new 2005 Tacomas?  I've
seen the 2005 Tacoma on the Toyota web site but that seems to be a special
version called X-Runner.  How about the regular Tacomas like the double cab?
Will they get a bigger engine and body too?
Changing Transmission fluid and transmission fluid oil by myself? Hard?18 Apr 2004 18:17 GMT5
I'm not willing to dish out $100+ for a transmission fluid job at the
mechanics, so is it easy to do by ones self?
I have a Toyota Pickup 4x4 EFI '88 and the transmission fluid has never
been changed as far as I have owned it, so I figured it would be a good
Toolbox for 2001 Double Cab18 Apr 2004 13:20 GMT3
I am looking for recommendations for a toolbox to mount in the back of my
DC.  I currently have one that just sits on the floor of the bed.  With the
height of the Tacoma, I can't reach into it and reach the bottom, so I want
one that mounts to the rails.  I don't want a big one; ...

I want to get a bed pad for my 2004 Double Cab, but I can't seem to find
anything that specifies it - Toyota, Protecta, Penda, etc.   But there are
several for the Access cab/short beds.
Does anyone know if the bed configuration/dimensions for the DC the same as
Simonize System 518 Apr 2004 03:03 GMT2
Just got my Tundra. The dealership offered me this Simonize
protection. They put teflon something on the outside, and teflon
protection for the interior. $349. The pamphlet he gave me from
Simonize says that they will repair or repaint if there are any acid

Replacing Front Bearings?17 Apr 2004 20:22 GMT3
I've a 95 Taco 4x4 with extended cab, V6 Auto and manual hubs and feel
it's probably overdue for front wheel bearing replacement or at least
repack at 106k miles.
Are there any special or odd size tools needed for this job?  I've got
Best speed for fuel efficency on 3.4L Tacoma?17 Apr 2004 19:55 GMT7
   I've got a manual 3.4 L V6 2003 Tacoma 4WD and it seems that 70
MPH is the sweet spot for the best gas mileage.
Has anyone done more extensive testing or know precisely what
speed is the best?
